Hey Cod_Father, I like your Mercedes Evo pics alot man, they look perfect and its like I am actually part of those pics, and for the Scion Thats a great shot with the border around. I should take pics of my Honda Cube thats been done up to the MAX.

Thanks PLmatt:) The border is actually quite simple. I always make a copy of the image I start with and leave it as the background layer. Once I'm done with the picture I make a copy of the original background and place it over top of any other layers. Then I select Filter->Pixelate->Mosaic. I set it around 7 for mosaic. Once it's pixelated I take the rectangle marquee tool and select an area inside the image making a border. Once that's selected I just hit delete. After that I select Stroke, size 1 and which every color tickles my fancy.

Since my finished image it usually brighter than the one I start with there is typically a good contrast between the border and the image. If not, I just use levels to make the border darker or lighter.

Im lovin the tank car pic, how did you get it to do that, mine is SOO slow and it hardly turns... Anyway nice job, keep up the good work 👍

I like those two Prowler shots a lot, the reflections that are running across the car seem to make the curves and shapes of the bodywork more visible upon first glance. Nice colours too, they're very vivid but not oversaturated at all.

GT4_Rule: I can only imagine what it would be like trying to drift the real tank car:) Apparently Jay has had twin turbo's installed on it now and HP and TQ are somewhere around 1600 and 3000 respectively:D

Moglet: thanks. I really liked the Prowler pics I selected and I really liked shooting it around New York. I believe I took 30 photos or so, which is at least 3 times as much as I normally do.

Really? I take hundreds at a time. My last 2 days of photo work in GT4 have produced 103 photos! But most of them are left unused for various reasons.
I'm the same when it comes to actual photography, too. I always end up taking hundreds of photos at each location i go to photograph :)

I would be the same given enough time:) Usually I get the "are you still playing that game" from my wife;) I can't complain though, she used to be big into photography and I use her as a sounding board for some of the pictures.

I did find out this weekend that my father-in-law has an older hasselblad. I may have to see what it's going to take to get my hands on that puppy:)

Hehe, well I have no wife to worry about so i spend ages playing GT4!
I'm uploading some photos i took of my actual car to my gallery if you want to see some of my actual photography 👍 Just got myself a new Nikon D50 :)
 
:D First class pics on page 11! The Merc Evo Touring car set is fantastic. I particularly like the grainy look, and the lighting is excellent too! 👍

The Scion shot is cheeky, and has a nice sense of action! The softness and the reflections on the left side stood out for me. 👍

Lucky sod! I haven't got the tank car yet, but looking at your shot, there is plenty of detail in the car, the angle ios great, and the drift looks great too! 👍

The Prowler shots are simply great, congrats. The Tank car shot is cool but the car...its not cool. But still a great update:)

Thanks guys. I really like the last shot as well. The reflections are great (especially the high rise reflected in the helmet).

I really wish the widescreen option in TT's photomode was available in GT4.

I'm a little hesitant in putting this one up. I went a little overboard using the unsharp mask and lost some detail on the hood of the car.

Nice shot, the lighting in this one is really impressively done. The way it blends from a nice light blue at the front of the car to the warmer coloured area at the back gives a nice sense of movement towards the camera.

The only thing i'm not sure about is the frame, as it seems to distract me from the actual photo, which really deserves all the attention!
