Give him time, it will begin to happen, as he watches more anime, he'll become much more demanding with what he watches, and thus more critical and will rethink some things.

Though there is always the chance he'll be like a certain weeaboo I know who gives everything an 8/10 or higher (He has never given anything lower than 8/10 ever), and has watched about as much anime as I have.

1. It's bleak
2. filled with action
3. boring psychological monologues

Totally not up his alley at all. Not everyone should watch Evangelion, Sephy. Especially not someone with moe-centric tastes. Give him time, and stop recommending bad things to people(bad for them, not bad in general. Although I could live without Eva).
 
You're biased when it comes to shows like NGE though.

Besides, everyone loves NGE. It's the greatest anime of all time.

Started Angel Beats, and so far, it is odd. When I first saw Yuri, my exact thoughts were "Haruhi? What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be molesting Mikuru or something?". I feel I may enjoy this one alot.

See? I told you not to deny Angel Beats. And yeah, Yuri's a Haruhi clone, except she has more character than Haruhi, so it's okay.
 
Completed Angel Beats all in one day. I'm really glad it was suggested. It was awesome.

I'm really glad that everyone moved on eventually, I just wish that it wasn't Yui who went first, she was just too cute. Also, I knew that when Kanade said 'she' after she heard Otonashi's story, that she was the one who got his organs.

You watched the dub. If I recall correctly the sub was more like "I'm sure they would thank you forever" instead of outright saying "she".

Also, you cried when Yui passed on. Didn't you? I do every single time.

I'm already on episode 3 of Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai. It is awesome. Sena is pretty much a fusion of Miki and Kirino. Also, Loli, was there a single anime in that list that doesn't reference other anime?
 
I just finished Ep. 3 of Black Lagoon S2. Hansel's hairstyle reminds me of Rei.
