I've finally seen the K-On! movie. Possibly the best movie ever. It feels weird now that I am completely out of stuff to watch.

How many of those have been dubbed? I know that at least Madoka and Clannad have. I still have all those barely started anime though, but I just don't feel like watching them.

Don't deny Angel Beats. There's some action, but it's not the main emphasis. It's more comedy/drama. Puella Magi has more action.

I guess I'll take your word for it. Also, with Puella Magi, don't think I'm watching it because you suggested it, I'm watching it because of one of the English VAs.
 
Honestly, if you want to expand on your tastes (which I personally think you should), you wouldn't brush off a show due to a specific genre, especially a genre that isn't (or shouldn't be) considered obscene or offensive unless you're a pacifist. You're being recommended a show; meaning someone has already seen it and thought it was worth watching. On top of that, you wouldn't run out of shows to watch with wider interests 👍.
 
Don't like action? What about GITS, Cowboy Bebop and Wolf's Rain? Although...none of them are really "actiony" except form maybe Bebop. GITS is more techno-nerdy and Wolf's Rain is more drama-y.

It's also the animation quality and age of show that I'm after. It also has to have an overall happy feeling.
 
otakukid96, why are you only looking for dubbed shows? 98% of dubs suck. :(

-One Piece-Be sure you're not watching the 4Kids version (4Piece).

-Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal-Stay away from the dub, trust me. I find it good, but it doesn't have as much impact as the sub can give. You're better off watching this awesome OVA subbed.
 
Yup, 98% of dubs suck, but I hate reading, too...but...2% of original language suck worse than the dubs...like Inuyasha. I cannot watched the un-dubbed version of that show...although...the dubbed version is pretty bad..the subbed version is like nails on a chalkboard. It would've been better if Johnny Young Bosch was the voice of Inuyasha and someone not annoying was the voice of Kagome....actually, in the dubbed Kagome is the most annoying.

Give him time. After enough exposure to us, he should broaden his horizons and such. Slowly but surely... until then, we might as well give him the best of the moe/comedy/lol genre(s) that we can.

Like, he rated Oreimo, Idolm@ster and the K-on! movie a 10 and left Disappearance unrated. We all know Disappearance 🤬 on everything else on his list.

I'd throw some bad shows at him so that after he finishes those, he'll begin to watch better shows to up his standards a little more. Show I may refer to include those that look like something he'd watch but end up being like crap such as Kampfer, and Samurai Girls. Afterwards he can move up to something like Guilty Crown or Higurashi.

He'll become more demanding as he watches more anime. It's something that usually happens, you get more critical of things the more you watch, and you'll later have multiple titles popping into your head going "I've seen this before. A pacifist protagonist? Already saw that in Rurouni Kenshin and Trigun.", which prevents you from rating something high just because you haven't seen anything like it before, or basically giving it points for originality when that hardly exists anymore.

Like the moment a Shonen involves powering up in any way, it's automatically not original. Dragon Ball Z did that beforehand, though I have no idea if it did it first or not.
 
Watched some more Puella Magi, and it's pretty good. That red headed girl, Kyoko, is pretty hot. Anyway, it's kinda crazy what Kyubei does with their souls. It's unbelievable that he could actually be that insensitive about stuff like that. He could at least leave a small amount in case an emergency occurs.
 
Eh not really, you get used to those sick kind of things after you watch enough stuff.
 
Yeah, all my other recommendations are more suited to your tastes though.... especially Yosuga no Sora, that's suited to everyone's tastes. Because of the last two episodes.

This show is also fantastic, but for different reasons. Mmmmm dat Sora.
