Well, I just finished S1 of Black Lagoon. My thoughts:

+ Revy - she's not just HAWT, but a great character.
+ Rock - Rock's story gives Black Lagoon part of its charm. The idea of a salaryman becoming a pirate/mercenary is original, I doubt there was any anime out there when Black Lagoon was released that also featured a salaryman-turned-outlaw.
+ Animation - It's the little things that matter here. The weapons, e.g. Revy's handguns, are superbly animated, as is Lagoon Company's "company car".
+ The OP and ED - The OP does feature some cringeworthy Engrish, but it's not as bad as this. The ED is much slower paced and much more sombre.

Meh Dutch and Benny - Dutch has his moments, e.g. blowing neo-Nazis to pieces. Dutch acts as a counterweight to Revy's hotheadedness, but neither his nor Benny's backstories get much attention. Benny seems to stay in the background.

Score: 9/10
 
I don't know if any one of you guys still interest in reading manga.
I'll suggest two not-so-famous manga i came across.

-Shingeki no Kyojin = Total 🤬 up story but it's good. :dunce:
-di[e]ce = Josei warning bruh. I warned you already.
 
I so would too, Kei cars, Anime, and Rei, I'm sold. I think you need a Renault Megane covered in Mari. You would so rock that every day. The license plate would be Megane!
 
Then on the dash would be a Fuu plushie with some glasses hanging from a key chain. Then when you honk the horn it'll be Mari squeeling.

No no dude, stick to a theme. An Ayanami plushie, please, and... well since there is absolutely no sound that Rei makes that could be used as a claxon, you can always use Rei I's melody to more or less make a claxon tone.
 
I finished Toradora!, after seeing Loliblade's recommendation list 2 pages back :P

The anime was really good! I admired the character development & the amount of love across them. But really, it was obvious who Ryuuji truly likes. Nevertheless, the characters will be yet another memorable bunch in my mind. The comedy was pretty funny as well despite the weirdly-intense melodrama.

I think I'm gonna drop Slice of Life anime for a bit, though. Ending anime in that sub-genre always gave me a bit of pain because I wanted it to go on forever, for some reason... (I'm feeling it right now..) So I guess I'll check on that recommend blog you guys created.

Well, I have finished Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and I am actually impressed by it. I had originally thought it was going to be all happy but turned dark fast. I even had some predictions about the end, and a majority of them were right. Overall, it was very good.

Also, you might want to be more critical and rethink some of those 10's..

Give him time, it will begin to happen, as he watches more anime, he'll become much more demanding with what he watches, and thus more critical and will rethink some things.

Though there is always the chance he'll be like a certain weeaboo I know who gives everything an 8/10 or higher (He has never given anything lower than 8/10 ever), and has watched about as much anime as I have.
