^ These do not look familiar at all.

I saw the one with the Harpy-thing battle in early nineties.

Same goes with flesh eating slugs. I remember my little sister had nightmares after watching that. (I think I remember a girl or a woman with long black hair that frantically waved and shining white eyes in that anime. But I'm not sure. There was a name too.... Zuza... or something.)

And the one with a self driving car I saw in the late nineties.

Thank you for the help.

Just got back from a few days in LA. Picked up this Kuroneko UFO catcher fig while I was at Anime Jungle in Little Tokyo.

Not a really impressive figure, but it was cheap and I don't have anything else of her in her full standard outfit.

Jungle's a pretty cool store, and I've been a regular since they first opened their store here in the US. (2001!) They've just rearranged their whole Little Tokyo setup, moving their second storefront (which had been across the street from the original) to a space across the walkway inside the same little underground mall thing, and have expanded the main store by buying the empty space next to it and knocking the wall down. Tons of space now.

I'd aim higher.

Anyway, here's some Colour updates on some prototypes I've been following.

I buy plenty of nice figures too, haha. I collect for the characters and not just because I like a figure, otherwise I'd have to open a museum to hold everything I'd buy! (Not to mention I'd be bankrupt.) I'll buy cheap figures if they're decent and unique (or I don't have anything similar), as is the case with this Kuroneko or the Beach Queens I have on order. Most of the really cool figures that come out these days are of characters I don't really have any interest in or don't even recognize, so I don't buy them.

The VN02 Miku from a few pages back was a pretty big let-down, by the way. Mold and paint quality is disappointing and Miku is tiny, barely bigger than a Figma. It looked like the figure was going to be a huge showpiece center of a collection but it really doesn't stand out. Most of the people I know who bought her have sold her or rotated her out of display, and you could get the figure really cheaply for a while right after she was released.

Tak, WHY DID YOU TAKE IT OUT OF THE PACKAGE! lol.

I open all my figures. If I wanted an investment I'd buy stocks or mutual funds. (Or a desirable model Porsche 964...) There isn't much secondhand value difference between a perfect-condition opened figure with a complete box and accessories and a sealed one anyway, and this is a cheapo prize figure anyway so it's kind of irrelevant.

I really should go back to Japan Town either in Fresno or San Fran. I might find some good deals one of these days.

Try Cards & Comics Central on Geary in SF. I've gotten some great deals there. They're one of those stores that is slightly overpriced when they first get a figure, but a year or two later the value of the figure has skyrocketed online, while the store's still asking the same price. I've bought figures there for $100 less than going eBay rate at the time.

It is something that Loli would watch. Though have you seen the brothers? I am sure that Col. Mustang is looking for them.

I imagine you'd like it, even though I've never seen it.

What are some shows you've watched and liked?

I love Kuroneko but that figure looks kind of bad. Not to say that I don't have a couple of cheap figures either though... lol.

K-on!, Tari Tari, Moshidora, A channel, Waiting in the Summer, Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father!.

Aw, premium ran out, been that long already? Hm, anyway, whats happening?
We have been taken over by a computer program, Asuka-net. You are the lone survivor and your mission is to go back in time and find Hei-connor.

Hows it goin

So, kokoro connect put me in the mind frame of Clannad, just alot more crazy, best anime i have seen all year besides joshiraku, followed by tari tari in 3rd place...eventhough the second episode was like it skipped an entire 10 episodes of development..

Wait what, I'm conner?! Not sure if gusta.
Don't worry, you get a robotic heart at the end.

seen madoka, mind was slightly blown but still remained intact. Only to blown completely away by none other then Accel world, which was amazing and showed an actual sneek peak into the year 2046... no flying cars, tokyo looked pretty much the same, but technology advanced extremely, thanks to the human brain. Not to mention the story is gold.

after seeing...gasp Ebiten

1st-4th eps, ok. besides a "Girl" saying Boku... didn't really pay it any attention.

then 5th ep below = :

Has the K-On! movie been dubbed into English?
nope, but i hope it will, i don't even know if bandai have any plans to make a dub for the K-ON movie, and to be honest, it would be awkward since many, many, man..basically the entire movie is focused around english. speaking of english K-ON.

Amazed how much english yui sounds like japanese yui.

Not yet. However the sub is fantastic (of course) and I imagine it will make poopy on the dub whenever it is made.

Kokoro Connect has been pretty great. Definitely getting more than I ever expected from it.
