I'm intrigued by the idea of a Haruhi movie. Its supposedly going to be based on one of the novels individually.

Speaking of anime made into movies, the first (?) Bleach movie is entertainingly bad. Of sure, it started off pretty nicely, and at the halfway point it was fantastic (if a bit predictable). Then the final quarter of the movie happened. I nearly turned it off I was so disgusted by how I knew it was going to turn out. And then it ended up being even worse than I thought it was going to be. I was literally riffing out loud on the damn thing before the final credits rolled.

After that, I watched Howl's Moving Castle again to wash away the awful. Probably Miyazaki's worst film that I have seen, but still my favorite of them all (barring Cagliostro, of course). And the ending still gets to me.

^ Thats perfect for me, since I'm 28. :boggled:

-> I think she did Suzumiya when she was 20, she's now 22. :dopey:

~> Aya Hirano is one of my top dream girlfriends on my stinking wish list.

*has to agree on Miss Aya* She's on my list of chicks to hang out with... Minori Chihara (Yuki's Voice), Yui Horie, and Eri Kitamura.... to name a few. --- Randy

On Kampfer @ Stig... eh... At first I wasn't a big fan of it.. but now after relooking at it, its a lot better than i thought. :D

So, Inuyasha then.
I know how bad the show got towards the end (or rather, after the first couple dozen episodes). I know that it quickly became derivative. I have agreed and commented on the various character flaws and inconsistencies as the show went on. And I know the show was essentially 150 episodes of poorly written sexual tension pretending to be a fetch quest with the depth of a Mortal Kombat story.
So, why is it that, despite knowing all of the above, I still cannot stop myself from sitting down and watching it when I have the chance? Seriously, I noted that there were a bunch of Inuyasha episodes on my DVR and then, the next thing I knew, I was watching it intently and (dare I say) enjoying myself. Granted I was thinking (and occasionally saying aloud) the same snarky comments that I have when watching, say, Sonic X. And granted, now I just blow off most of the episodes if they don't catch my eye within 5 minutes, but some of them still catch my eye! And with the new Inuyasha series inevitably going to be coming out in America, the problem isn't going to get any better.
What is it about this mediocre, girly DBZ ripoff that draws me in like this? It can't all be nostalgia, because if that was the case I would just watch my Tenchi Universe or DBZ DVDs or something, and I'm not sure if the show is old enough anyways.

Please, help me.

Don't feel bad, I still watch it too and I actually like the new ones. :ouch: But hey, its not THAT bad. There is worse.... Anybody want to name them? --- Randy

So, I ordered the Outlaw Star Perfect Collection for... $23 yesterday....
I also pre-ordered an anime related model kit, a VF-27 Lucifer from Macross Frontier. It is 1/72 scale from Bandai and is fully transformable O_o

well its anime time again. watching white album 2nd season (and hooked!) and macross frontier...dammed to say that around ep 10 it makes HUGE meta references to macross zero as a movie within an anime. I had to check macross zero again, and yes, its a close relationship of a remake of a movie of another anime within an anime. so clear. and worth my time. ahhhhh..........r.g..g.h.h.h.h.hhhh!

*is really enjoying  Seitokai no Ichizon* *is also really enjoying Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu: Purezza* Really freaking KAWAII with some  too!!! :D --- Randy

I am so far behind with my watching. I always wait until every episode is available before starting to watch anything. Plus I go back and watch older stuff that was out before I started watching on a more regular basis. Still have to finish Macross F, then on to Spice & Wolf season 2, R+V capu 2 for the hell of it, then Death Note. After that I still have both GitS:SAC, White Album season 2, Cannan, Darker Than Black and it's sequel, and a lot more.

Just dropped Seitokai no Ichizon because it gone from good to completely sucking. Slowly going towards Sora no Otoshimono.... so far not that great but better than Seitokai no Ichizon...

End of Evangelion:
Blood, guts, questionable content, then everyone is suddenly orange tang.
There is a reason that fans contend to this day that Anno did End of Evangelion the way he did because he was angry that people complained about the ending of the series proper...

Its been, what, two weeks since I posted this? And the ending of the movie still angers me enough for me to think about it.
I actually wrote up a multiple paragraph rant on it on another forum, but I have to edit it for AUP-friendliness before posting it here

I like the original and the movies of Evangelion. But those were some hardcore fans...If you have the Death and rebirth movie. Watch the commentary, its very good 👍

Talk about art imitating life. ;)👍

This past week I saw the first 2 eps of Seiken no Blacksmith, Baccano and ep. 12 of Macross. I was also at a local anime clubs Halloween party on Saturday.

This weekend, I plan on attending and gofering Zenkaikon in King of Prussia, PA. ^_^

Love Seiken no Blacksmith... um Seitokai no Ichizon and Sora no Otoshimono... eh... I have put on hold because I like Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu: Purezza ALOT better... Haruka... is just so Kawaii! :D HEY! I know that's Konata (the Art, which looks awesome! :)), but is that Miss Aya Hirano in the photo? --- Randy
