I've been going through Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit again. Since its no longer run alongside Code Geass, I'm thinking it will get my attention much better than the first run it had. Which is good, because the show is very good in its own way. Gives off a lot of "GitS... in Historic Japan!" vibes, which are exacerbated by being done by Production I.G.

So if anyone happens to watch White Album S2, episode 6, if anyone knows how or where I can find the name of the sort of jazzy song that plays about halfway through, it would be awesome. They usually use it about once every episode or so, but I've made about 5 attempts to find out what it's called, and spend about 30 minutes each time to no avail.

If someone can point me in the right direction, I would be forever grateful. That is all.

So what have I been watching? You're Under Arrest which is from that 1995-96 timeframe! :D Pretty good anime! :D --- Randy

Before they were recording? I was watching the EP real quick to figure out what were you talking about.

to think that Aya Hirano is in it. It plays for like a short time? Probably to set the mood of something..like a bad feeling.

I recently saw Sky Crawlers. it was decent, although the plot was bit skittish. planes and aerial battles were excellent.

I finished reading "The Engima of Amigara Fault," and I'm now reading "Uzumaki"...

I'm going to miss sleep.

Just got done reading some Kodomo no Jikan (Chapter 55), Kimi no Iru Machi (Chapter 70, the ending something I've dealt with personally), and Full Metal Panic Sigma (Chapter 20, Sargent Sagara is back! :D). So far so good :) --- Randy

That isn't it, no singing in this song.

Starts around 45 seconds, kicks in about 1:30. It's been at least once in every episode I can remember.

I REALLY REALLY want that song.

Just watched, for the first time in uh...over 15 years, Nausicaa of the valley of the wind.
2238.jpg

I used to watch this over, and over, and over when I was very young. First time I've been able to pay attention to the story though I guess. I like Miyazaki movies, especially this one...
PrincessMononoke.Cover.jpg

Nice to know something is still as good as I thought it was when I was little. Even the animation is great for 1984. It's worth watching if you've never seen it before.

So there's the end of White Album.

I want to say I like the nice happy ending, but I honestly don't have any idea wtf happened. It seems some things were lost in the translation.

I got the Kanon Complete Series on DVD and I haven't opened it yet. I saw the blu-ray version which comes around $660 and good lord, that is expensive for a blu-ray set. When I'm done with Kanon, I should watch Macross Frontier. Seikan Hikou is what got me interested with.

Rerented and Rewatch Ninja Scroll:tup: it is still a masterpiece.

One of my favorites of all time... :) Wicked City and Sword for Truth are also not bad... but no where near the perfection of Ninja Scroll... :D

Any one seen Toradora yet? it's like Clannad, but way better "imo", It hides the harem aspect so well. it's also very real like Genshinken. If genshinken were a romantic dramatic comedy.

I really enjoyed, it wasn't cheesy nor boring, and the characters smallest actions had a deep realistic effect on the story line. I highly recommend if you have not got the chance to watch yet.

It all starts as a misunderstanding/ackward run in, you know...the typical guy walks into girl...or vice versa, well instead of the girl freaking out and saying sorry,..Taiga(The girl) Punches ryugi(the dude) in the face and knocks him out cold.. thus begins one of the best animated love stories i have ever seen....

its like a perfect mix, you have taiga, bold, out going, crazy, ...typical tsunderra girl... but not typical becauses shes actually interesting, then you have ryugi the outcast(even though hes a normal guy) people thinks he is killer because of his slanted eyes... but hes very kind, cool, laid back. Minori taigas friend, the air head girl bubbly cheery random girl, or so i thought, Ami the model, stuck up, snobby, ungreatfull...boy was i wrong.. and kutsada the class respesintitive, i thought taiga was going to fall in love with him, but the show took a huge turn.... show is set in modern day tokyo, no robots or magic, just school life, seriously down to the bone school life, only ackward thing, is taiga carries a wooden sword...

Any way, one of the best animes i have seen to date. ..certainly in my top 3 for the category. and number one on the list, topping clannad, as well as kanon.

anyway 10/10. Again..i highly recommend.

The Legend of Koizumi. Holy crap. It's like Saki, plus Axis Powers Hetalia, with a fair bit of Needless and Cromartie High School.

So how has this season of Anime been so far to me? Actually... three really stick out.. Durarara is just fantastic... Great story, great characters.. Kinda like an updated Baccano!! except it takes place in Japan instead of the United States. Ok... Hanamaru Kindergarten reminds me of Kodomo no Jikan but toned down quite a bit... still very cute... and finally So ra no wo to is very good... think K-On goes to the army. Anyway, still kinda early in the season but so far so good... --- Randy

I have been reading Dark Horses' NGE: Raising SHinji Ikari project. So far, I have gotten 3 vols. and still love NGE.

Seikon no Qwaser sucks. The music, the story, the animation, everything.

But that is not all.

This is why I play Touhou.

EDIT: Another thing, I just finished watching Gurren Lagann: Lagann-hen, and I am sorry to have to put it this crudely.

I came. I came with the force of a thousand spiral warriors. This soul of mine will never die. All because of TTGL.

I am now all the more eager to see this 👍 That's all the review I needed!

Call me a fanboy, but I think Initial D is cool. Plus I also think the anime parts of "Good Times With Weapons" and "Kill Bill Vol. 1" totally kicked ass.

NGE has aged incredibly well. I hardly notice Shinji's listening to an SDAT anymore.
Who knows, I think that Asuka has finally put a voice in his head. They changed Asuka's last name also to Shikinami
Halo:Legends was alright though I don't know when it is going to come on DVD.Did anyone know that they made a OVA for Lucky Star?
