It is awesome. It gives off an indie film (real life) vibe, and I love indie films.
The alternative soundtrack is also brilliant. This show is just all kinds of awesome.

I feel really bad for Mamimi. I just want to hug her, ya know? :indiff: She has weird pouty lips, but I love her.
And Haruko's a bitch. I hate her. I hate her voice. :irked: She makes for some funny scenes, but I hate her.

@DK I made it during the Twitch Plays Pokemon hype because I dunno. Doesn't look that much different from Gloom's real face. :D

Ah, I see you did the right thing and watched it in one fell sweep. Good.

And yes, it's freaking awesome.

Haruko is indeed a bitch, but a cool bitch. You can't hate her, she's kinda despiccable, but you cannot hate her lol.

Also, alternative soundtrack = not soundtrack. Many of the songs used in the show were already out by the time the show started to be planned, that is why the show has such an amazingly good use of music, it was practically made around The Pillows' songs. The Pillows only made I Think I can and Ride on Shooting Star (the ending) for the show, all others were already in their repertory.

And yes, you're welcome to FLCL for introducing you to The Pillows, as millions more of us have been since. For me, a BIG, a really BIG part of why I find FLCL awesome is that it introduced me to the band, which has been one of my favorites ever since. Seen them live twice.

Now rewatch 3 times at least.

Yeah, Haruko's okay I guess. Ya know, before she took off her helmet, I thought it was a guy! I don't hate her, I just dislike her for suddenly appearing and causing all that has happened, especially causing Naota to abandon Mamimi. :( Poor Mamimi.

Will rewatching give me a better understanding of it? Because I had a bunch of questions about halfway through the first episode but quickly dropped them all and just let it go as I couldn't take it anymore. Whatever confusion and uncertainties I had before becomes truth and fact, because it happened.

You seen the Pillows live twice?! That's awesome!
Also, the ending song reminded me of this song.



Another thing I'd like to say is that Yoshiyuki Sadamoto's drawings in high definition is beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I've always had this preconception in my mind that this was an old anime so I wasn't expecting such quality only 4 years after what was standard definition NGE. (Now that I think of it, NGE can stay as it is in standard definition. No need for a remaster or whatever, Rebuild's already done that.)

But definitely, I will watch again soon since it's only six episodes. SIX EPISODES!

Yes, rewatching it makes things much clearer and after a while it becomes a pretty straightforward story. Even the stuff coming off Naota's head will have sense.

It's a little too early for me to say with certainty at this point, but I'm feeling pretty good about WIXOSS. I think it stands a decent chance of being one of my favorites of the season too.

Knew the eyes were weird but couldn't pinpoint why. I have to agree with the reviewer's thoughts on that. Now that he mentions it, same goes for the pose. Other than that, I love so much about the figure.

Haha, so many things happening so fast during that scene, my brain failed to make sense of it all. Also, I just remembered, it's not only her helmet but even when she takes it off, she looks like a guy.

And I hate that cat smile look or whatever you call it she always pulls. This -> :3
