While I highly doubt that it's even closely as good as either of the shows mentioned, I can't judge either, I don't even have an idea of wtf is it about.

Because Kantai Collection is currently on my personal list of Top 10 Least Favourite Things In The World and as a result I am contractually obliged to complain about it upon it being mentioned in any conversation.

But the real life thing they're based on is warships. So surely that argument would only hold water if you actually liked the 'real life thing' in question? I mean, the way it's done, it's not like it's gonna get you into actual warships.

I'm a casual fan of warships and military in general, and I also like cute anime girls, so yes, I do like the real life thing. But mostly anything anthropomorphism as long as the design looks pleasing (which isn't the case most of the time) in my eyes. Strike Witches are cool but the propeller props legs look like prosthetic limbs. :scared:

I can understand that if you don't like something you won't want to talk about it but to me you sound like one of those xbox/playstation fanboys who blasts anyone for liking something different. Just my two cents.

That's the problem though. I am a self confessed massive Touhou fanboy and Kantai Collection's rise has been comparable to it.
To be fair, it's probably all my favourite artists fault. I like them for Touhou works and once I started seeing all these strange new life forms appearing under their tags I did rather want to say "Oh, just get back to where you started."
It's every artist fault that I dislike Patchouli Knowledge as well. There is no reason to draw her, canon or fanon, as heavily breasted in every picture. But that doesn't stop them.
It seems like a stupid reason to hate on the pair of them. But when you browse art as much as I do, you see some annoying trends and you start to dislike them and the thing they involve. That's shaped my feelings primarily in this argument.

I thought that was an anime then I Googled and realized it's not. Her last name is Knowledge, lol wtf. :odd:

I think I missed addressing this: About the KanColle anime, it's a simple cash in on the hype so I think it'll most probably suck as an anime. Fans though will probably love it no matter how it turns out.

Has anyone here watched the Super Sonico anime? :scared: Also, a hentai is listed as recommendations on myanimelist. :lol:

Hey you aren't the only one who likes touhou and browsing danbooru all day my friend. But if the artist wants to branch out and draw new things then let them you know? It's similar to sticking to only one type of car in GT even though there are many options available to you. Driving the same car over and over again can get boring(at least in my opinion).

Oh, I never said they couldn't. But I follow artists for a reason, and if they branch away from it altogether, then I might as well not bother following them anymore.

OBJECTION. I could never get bored of driving a certain tuned CT230R in GT5 (which in earlier updates could win any race it wanted to). Or the FTO STC for that matter, prior to the sound ruin.
