Well I find it a problem because it's a lot of wasted potential. But I'm not taking it seriously so whatever.

@AOS- But the girls are pretty, so it's worth watching :P

Out of all the pics I saw from the show, the girl in Andy's avy is the only really attractive one because she's the only one that looks like a woman instead of a 5 yeard old toddler.

She also looks pretty cool so I approve of him, and maybe laugh a bit at you (:

So, what has happened with the release of the new [INEXPLICABLY REDACTED VERB] Monogatari thing? I hate that show but I'm going to keep watching it out of spite.

I am very confused.

True enough. Unlike Shouko though, Mio's a decent character. She is the one who balances good reason on the group of 3 friends. She is also the one you relate to when you got Yuuko and Mai trolling.

I'm curious but how do you guys watch anime? Do you usually watch on a tablet, phone, HDTV...

Acquire new eps every weekly (don't ask how).

Extract the Matroska container.

Convert video to AVC if needed (Lord knows DLNA loves AVC).

Add chapters (i'm anal about the metadata that comes with my media).

Add/edit audio tracks (engrish, japanese).

Test audio syncing.

Make english the default audio track.

Do final checks.

Compress errythang into Matroska container.

Sync Matroska file with DLNA server.

Edit metadata on DLNA server.

Upload Matroska file to active directory server with a file share (Oh snap, son. Anime accessible on every computer in the house).

Go to living room. Turn on Xbox One or other DLNA compliant device. Lounge on my ass. Watch animes.

Indeed. I don't find her attractive at all of course but Nichijou is just awesome, and the entire cast will more than likely make an appearance in here.

Also:

YESSSS That's Shun Li (or whatever she's called), the girl from Korra! Which, despite how much I absolutely loathe that show now, was one of the very few likeable characters that actually had a good and fun storyline troughout. And Artgerm is awesome. So, double awesome.

 Yeah okay there.

I too obsess over metadata with my audio files, but I don't go to the extent of finding everything though. Just an artist, song name and maaaaybe album and grouping, but that's it. We're nuts about cataloging things. Maybe we're librarians at heart.

Nice. I do something similar, though not with the conversions you do. Depending on the video I put it on my Plex server and stream it to my Chromecast, which is connected to my TV.

Apparently, that's all the 2014 stuff I watched. Hmmm... More than I expected. There is of course past shows I watched that year too.

I can't remember anything I watch unless it's brought up in conversation. Or if it's in a picture that I really like :/
By the way, how are Cross Ange and The Seven Deadly Sins?

 Yeah okay there.

I get metadata for music from I-tunes since most people on Last FM buy stuff from there. I also use MP3 tag. Awesome program.

Glad i'm not the only one that watched Ping Pong. Weird art, good show. Good OST too 👍.

Up to episode 11 of SAO, still not really getting into it. Asuna is a textbook Tsundere, and it seems to be a series where every girl wants Kirito more than life, (every other episode has a new girl...seriously?!)

I'm kinda wanting to quit it and go rewatch Soul Eater/Madoka/Kill La Kill...anything that has characters that are interesting, funny and not love objects, really...

That's why I didn't like it, and I hear that the second cour only makes it worse.

If you haven't seen it yet, go watch Nisekoi. Funny, cute, and heartwarming.

I want more of Kana Hanazawa. Anyone got any good productions with her in them? :P

-> Just finished Golden Time, Ika Musume, & Infinite Stratos S1 along with Encore. About to start Infinite Stratos S2, and Little Busters. Maybe Anohana too!

Combined Community Codec Pack. The episodes stream nicely off my portable HDD, so I can watch them off my laptop, desktop, etc.

I actually don't have any video-compatible media-playing hardware that doesn't support MKV with all the SSA subtitle goodness and stuff, so format issues really don't apply to me.

However, if I wanted to, I could splice the subtitle track of a TV rip with the clean video of a Blu-ray rip (necessary with Sakura Trick), add an extra audio track to an MKV file so that I can watch a show dubbed if required (as I did with Future Diary), or edit a full subtitle track into a signs-and-songs subtitle track (needed to experience Lucky Star in English). These occasions are fortuitously rare, however.

Asuna's a fantastic badass, though, and I think it's quite unfair to call the other female characters "love objects". Each has their own dilemma which is sorted out in its own small story, and ends up more developed than they were prior to meeting Kirito - and I dunno, there seems to be something about the guy that makes those nerdy girls foam up between the thighs. Okay, so Sachi was a total wet drip who was really only introduced into the story for the benefit of Kirito's development, but watching Lizbeth deal with the harsh realities of love, I felt, was quite interesting.

It's fixed later on in the series anyway, though; the only new female character who appears after Lizbeth is Kirito's sister, and aside from her not being a love interest for him, she has her own demons to deal with. Something I love about Sword Art is its ability to tell very human stories in its unique fantasy world; the characters' relationships and emotions really make that show great, and all the philosophy and psychology behind how they change as people in the virtual world wouldn't mean anything if not for that.

The one thing I'll say about most of the first half of SAO's first season is that it has serious pacing issues. An episode could be a week, a month, or a few months ahead of the previous one, with no real sense of continued suspense or flow unless an episode is left on a deliberate cliffhanger. Again, you're basically at the cusp of where these problems begin to go away, so there's not much sense in dropping it now.

Also, season 2 starts off with Kirito doing hella rad stuff with a lightsaber, (hooray for him not being so clueless anymore), continues with an interesting new female character named Sinon, (hooray for her not being as useless or under-explored as Silica and Liz), dips with a three-episode filler arc in the middle (it's kinda fun, though)... and the last arc is Asuna's. And honestly, it represents one of the absolute high-points of the entire SAO story so far, so it's well worth getting there.

But for god's sake, don't spoil the twists for yourself! ;P

Interesting yet unrelated tidbits: Madoka Magica's OST was composed by the same person who composed Sword Art Online's OST (the weird bell sounds are a giveaway). Also, the English dubs for Kill la Kill, Sword Art Online and Madoka Magica were all written and directed by the same guy (and almost all of the female English VAs for Madoka feature in SAO).

Didn't you learn of Ping Pong from me? I was raving about it here.

I was going through shows that season, and Ping Pong caught my eye. I remember endorsing one of your post about it though.

Dat avy though. Who dat?

I think a conversation between the youngest and eldest of the Ararararararararararararagi siblings just confirmed that Madoka Magica and Monogatari are canon in the most terrifying manner possible.

Love it that the two Obvious Lesbian Pairings from Madoka are barely even looking at him. The Lesbi-Love is just too strong. ;D

Also, love it that they're considerate enough to take their shoes off before putting their feet on seats. If only British girls did this... :/

I thought I recognised Yuki Kajiura in the SAO OST. It's a little different to her work on PMMM, though. It's not a bad series, just...well I rewatched three episodes of Kill la Kill and found them far more fun to watch, but hey, maybe it's the fact SAO takes itself seriously with such a stupid premise.

I'd recognise a haircut that stupid from a mile away.

Also, Kyoko seems pretty fixated on him.

Also, Ararararararararagi is a creep.

But hey, the colour palette is amazing.

If only British girls did this... :/

Are you implying that British boys do keep their shoes off of seats, or are you saying that you don't care whether or not British boys keep their shoes off of seats?
