Welp, 4chan is 4chan. I don't really like the picture either, just wanted to throw it out there.

Could be worth discussing for the next little while. What gets me wondering is how one would define a tsundere as a good or bad. CC doesn't come off as a tsundere to me.

Would bad tsundere be someone who goes loses control of their composure when the "tsun" gets agitated? Then what would you think a good tsundere be then?

I think what they mean is that a bad tsundere is one that isn't unique/ not developed very well in their eyes.
Notice that kind of pattern on the "bad tsundere" side.

But for me, there's no such thing as a "good tsundere" anyway. I'm not into that.

It might be just a shallow as whether or not they like the character in the first place. Asuka is generally hated upon and Kurisu is one easily likeable character from what I've noticed from the general anime populace.

I assumed this when I saw the picture.

In that case, I will agree with the placement of Louise (even though I haven't watched the show), Asuka, Kurisu, and Kirino (despite haven't watched the 2nd season). I disagree with the placement of Rin because she doesn't stay a shut-in like Asuka even when in Tsun mode I've noticed. CC, like I said already, doesn't even come off as a tsundere to me.

Well now that I think about it again, I partly agree with Taiga. She opens up rather well through the two cours, but she blows it with the headbutt at the end. Too bad, so sad, I'm rad, and you're a dad.

edit: had a nostalgia attack.

Fixed. :D

@AOS- The first anime I ever watched was Gundam Wing on VCR when I was 3.

On the same day, my brother rented out NGE not knowing what it was. I was traumatized since it was episode 18 with all the blood and gore.

-> Has anyone heard about this one?

^ I'm thinking about going...if budget persist...and also Miku will guest star too!

I have come to the realisation that the only reason I watch Monogatari is so I can screencap it constantly and use those screencaps as reaction images.

The onry celebrity I recognize there is Faylan, and I don't even like her heavily-edited singing.

Peace peaceeeee. I've come to being charmed by the character trope she is.

I'm not a fan of scenarios like the anime for Amnesia if you ever saw that garbage. I do not like seeing women treated that way. I can like/tolerate the extent of like what is seen in Maid-sama! with the male MC doing things to tease the female MC, but when you get to like Amnesia (Where they literally cage her "to protect her"), it's disgusting and offends me. I can only begin to imagine what Wolf Girl and Black Prince is doing, aside from probably the predictable they start to fall in love scenario.

I didn't find it anywhere near that serious, neither did my girlfriend while watching it. He teases her for sure, but I wouldn't go as far as domestic abuse.

Have you actually seen any of it?

Is this actually going into production or is this just another case of something getting optioned and people actually hearing about it?

At least Ghost In The Shell stands a chance of working live action if it does happen. I can fairly easily say that Madoka would be the worst anime to do a live action adaptation of, not sure what would transition between mediums the best. Probably some Kyoani thing no one cares about.

Free! would work :dopey:

Really, when you get down to it, any anime that isn't slice-of-life or other similar genres will suffer as live-action. The stylized nature of most of it doesn't exactly lend itself well to real life, even with CG. The closest thing to a "live-action anime" would be Pacific Rim, although even then thats a stretch, and while its CG is fantastic, but I honestly don't think its possible to get anywhere close to a "anime-esque live-action"

What obvious anime perks that won't ever work IRL are dramatic reactions. Slapstick comedy? Nah. I'm watching Binbou Gami ga right now. Yeah, this stuff won't ever fly. Neither will Nichijou. The nature and beauty of such comedic gesture was made for animation.

No I haven't, and I most likely never will. I already torture myself enough, and skimming the negative reviews on MAL, seems the show actually does go far with the abuse.

^Dunno. Modern CGI could probably capture the look of people's faces and features crumpling into napkin doodles as they walk away from the camera. The head-tilt might be hard, though.

Madoka would almost undoubtedly be the worst. High-school comedy stuff wouldn't work on account of the unrealistic visual humour and stilted speech. Action stuff might work, but you're tied down to the limitations of what you can do with real people in real-life. Most things would end up total CGI-fests, and if that happens, what's the point in using live-action elements at all?

Neon Genesis Evangelion could work, if it's handled with tact and subtlety, but again, it'd be going very CGI-heavy, and the stylistic and aesthetic choices present in the original version would be hard to translate to real-life.
