Enjoying both OP and ED of GOSICK.

Episode 11 is postponed until april 1st.... :(

It's not a bad show, but like some people at SRK pointed out, Victorique happens to know things without ever having witnessing it herself... She knew certain events happen, without ever being there, nor did Kujo ever tell her about it... she somehow takes the known variables and magically deciphers the rest of the other variables with missing facts or proof, and is right each time....

Noticed that today that:

Dragonaught the series
Ah! My Goddess
and NegimaI? have been added to Netflix's growing streaming anime library.

Also, Full Metal Panic Fumoffu is also there. So now the complete Full Metal Panic lineup is available for streaming...instead of just the second wave.

I strongly recommend against this series. I'm all for trying new things out and experimenting but nothing is going to give me back the time spent on an anime I wouldn't watch even if paid.

Thanks for the advice. I'd say the same thing about Queen's Blade, there really aren't any redeeming qualities about that series. If you want boobs and good battles, watch Sekirei, it has a much better story line. Although the ending sucks, it's still better than Queen's Blade.

Started watching Les Miserables. For some reason I love anime based on old literature, dunno why.

That's a good question. Seemingly almost rhetorical too, I'm sure there are those who don't.

I love the shouting in conversations and the way facial expressions and attitudes are portrayed in anime, esp the "falling off your chair" surprise

I always like the XD faces. They crack me up.

So what you're saying to us that it is 'naut' a good idea to watch that title?:dopey:

As for what I've watched so far today, I went Old-School and watched a ep of Zillion. ;)

I was looking forward to ending my day off with episode 11 of Freezing, noticed it wasn't up...I went ballistic (in my mind of course), then I just remembered what happened in Japan...

Bakuman, Gosick, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, Koizumi and Freezing have all been affected.
The one time i picked up a whole bunch of ongoing shows too, oh darn.

I'm totally ready to watch another set of Koizumi @ mahjong though.

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica

I NEED to start this soon, heard so many good things.

On a different note, I've just bought all the released volumes of Pandora Hearts, Bakuman and Toradora. Anyone read around these parts?

Magica and Index 2 are all the hype at SRK... They've down-talked the animes I watched in the past, and they were right. Rosario Vampire, and Hyakka Ryouran were both awful.

So i decided to check out Magica and it is quite good.. I really like how they kept the hand-drawn hatching shading for the eyes... I really like the art style as the characters look like they were drawn with pencil.

Edit: oh wow ep 15 of index was so exciting and suspenseful. Haven't felt this level of sensation since death note.

So you go to the hentai thread on SRK

For some reason, nk4e and I love anime with lolis, dunno why.
Do I like Loli's? Certain art appeals to me then comes the story. If that isn't the case, its the story then art then character development.

Bakemonogatari is certainly unique, very different from anything i've seen before, and not in a bad way, although it's slow in places and quite confusing at times. I'm currently up to episode 8 and can see why people have praised it, it is possibly a little overrated in my opinion, but not to be looked over at all. Almost forgot to mention that the art style is superb, maybe even better than Angel Beats if im honest.

I'm now off work for 2 weeks so plan to watch quite a lot of anime :p

The Anime and Manga Discussion is a hentai thread....? what have you been on, nk4e?

i like Samurai Girls' art style a lot more... More calligraphic paint strokes and ink splatters, thick black outlines, wicked master samurai aura, warm soft tones that are wicked vibrant..

I think it's hard to compare bakemono to anything since the art style is unique as you said. Key(angel beats, kanon 2006, clannad) has consistently stayed on top in the quality department.

Another good anime, visually, this season is yumekui merry. The ONLY thing I do not like about it, visually again, is that the frame rate is something along the lines of 30fps. You can notice it if you look for it when they talk; there's a slight choppiness.

It could be the version you watched.
