Of course.

I just started my engine with Initial D a couple hours ago, and will be putting it into first gear soon.

-> ...
I was disappointed to know the characters drawn in the show don't look like that in the picture. :( Wishful Thinking
^ Most, if not all anime shows doesn't really coresponds to their original work (on manga).

-> I would think the closest anime-manga similarity would be these series:

- Clanned
- Evangelion series
- Onegai Teacher/Twins series
- The Big-O series
- Wangan Midnight

^ By far from the top of my prehistoric noggin. :sly:

Just noticed all of Initial D is on Netflix along with The Slayers, The Slayers: Next, The Slayers: Try, The Slayers: Revolution and Slayers Evolution-R. So everything Slayers except the movie and the OAVs.

Speaking of, the Gunslinger Girl OVA is there. There several MA rated series on Netflix, as well. I guess we know what people use netflix streaming for: TV episodes, bad movies and Anime.
^ I will check that out, thanks! :)

BT -> ...
-> If I would pick one these women:

:dopey:

^ I will pick either the Office Shark/Man Eater (1), Chinese waitress (2), the Teacher (4), the Protagonist (6), the Stewardess (8), the Nurse (9), and the Cop (10). :boggled:

-> But If I pick one, I'll pick the under-appreciated Stewardess. :D

I disagree with Clannad.

The characters in the Clannad manga look 10 times less appealing than they do in the anime. Tomoya looks so "ordinary" that he looks bland. KEY Label fixed that by changing the shape of his eyes and hair style in the anime. Also, Ryou and Kyou look strange in the manga, don't know why.

Didn't they disband for some odd reason?

Nope. I think the series direct didn't have a solid idea for the 3rd season and then everyone got busy with other projects. But there was an interview a while back where Kenji mentioned that he had an idea for a third season for SAC, but had a couple of projects he was working. Apparently, Production I. G. got tired of waiting for him to get started on the 3rd Gig. Or he handed them his scripts/ideas for the 3rd Gig.

I saw 3rd Gig on a joke mock-up of upcoming anime, the thing that has a picture and a blurb about it along with air date. Awesome if it's actually getting done.

I think Production I. G. has given the new Gig a green light, as the cast has already said that it's likely, along with Kenji. But, they're waiting on Kenji to finish is projects. Some of which were Eden of the East and a couple of movies to go with the series. But, if I. G. is prepping it, already, Kenji could be done with his projects. Or almost done.

Keep in mind, however, that it takes about 2 years for a Japanese anime series to hit the US. which makes sense, 'cause there's casting, dubbing, editing, and a plethora of other things.

takumi's attitude of driving is similar to mine playing hot pursuit 3.... He took the race under no pressure, and with sheer confidence.

Sounds like Inuyasha: The Final Act should be ready by the end of this year and probably run a 2011/2012 schedule. Which works 'cause it ran in Japan 2009/2010. Now, it's 2 years later...

Also, the 3rd Bleach movie will be debuting on Adult Swim later his year, I believe.

Utter silence but makes people ***** out their pants!

I miss watching Dragon Ball Z when I was a little kid. Especially Piccalo's badassness. He will rip apart Naruto.

Btw, I really hope the creator of Naruto gives Naruto some balls to freaking forget about bringing back Sasuke. That Uchiha needs to die a horrible and bloody death. Sometimes all that messages about love and whatnot needs to get thrown out in favor of good fashioned ass kicking.

Edit: Is there any anime that is not based around teenagers but around college students or young adults? I'd like to see an anime that isn't too childish but not too serious at the same time.

Every time someone mentions DBZ, all I reemmber instantly is TeamFourStar and CHA-LA-HEAD-CHA-LA

Sasuke isn't going to die, because he has a huge fangirl base. That's true, right? I don't watch the show.

sumbrownkid... again

Yes; yes there is.
I saw "not too serious" and I said Lucky Star, but it's all about kids.
I saw "not childish" and I said Death Note, but it's completely serious.

-Afro Samurai; no kids, but serious business.
-Beezlebub? not childish, not serious, but it has teens.
-Soul Eater; not serious, but it has teens at school, but you rarely see them in school.
-Elfen Lied; serious, kids but only in flashbacks...no school :P
-5 Centimeters Per Second; Serious, but no school.
-Mouryou no Hako; Serious.

-Howl's Moving Castle
-My Friend Totoro
-Princess Mononoke
-Spirited Away
-Legend of Koizumi; Not serious, not childish, no kids, full of funny.

simply put, it's like against the anime law to have non-serious media that doesn't involve kids.. you may as well watch game-shows in that case

I guess you're right about me watching game shows instead.:)

It is a tough genre to get what you want.

I don't watch Naruto because of lack of time and the fact that the main character himself doesn't have the pair to do the right thing (Behead Sasuke and present it to the leaders of all the villages).

Maybe I'll stick to Gundam, but even that is getting a little too weird and angsty now for my tastes. Unicorn is solid though, but really they need to create a new enemy instead of plopping Char out of retirement. It would be cool though if Amuro Ray makes a surprise albeit strange return.

They need to make an anime where the main character just keeps it real.

Define what you feel "real" is and i can suggest you a show.

That's a good challenge.

Let's see...

How about a character that is not overtly emotional, thinks rationally in dire situations, has a funny streak, knows when ass has to be spared or kicked. And is pretty much an average person with no real powers other than sheer will I guess.

This is why I guess I find Piccalo to be awesome. Yeah I know he is super powerful and can remake parts of his body, but his overall character was just right.

Edit: I don't know why I just quoted myself.:dunce:

Gintama may be a good fit for you. Not childish, not serious very much, mostly funny, most characters are adults (though it could be argued that they're immature...)

Welcome to the NHK is another good one, focuses on college age young adults, and very funny.

Clannad or Lucky Star.

You're looking for Slice of Life shows.....

That's the kind of stuff I like, thanks for finding the words for me.:)

I'll check those shows out then right now. I just finished studying since Saturday night...:ouch:

I actually watched Gintama, and yeah it was hilarious. I hope they continue it.

I watched gintama to see kick-ass fighting samurais, but instead it's sidejobs for no charge episode after episode after episode.

Clannad isn't really slice of life. but the first season has a ton of those moments, humourous too.

Welcome to the NHK.

Although he doesn't do any 'ass kicking' but it ticks every other box, and will have you on floor laughing at times.
