I pretty much stopped watching TV by 2007, so I haven't a clue what local programs we have that broadcast cartoon, let alone anime.

Net streaming? Netflix and Crunchyroll come to mind.

What anime networks do you guys have on your sides of the world when it comes to Anime on TV?

Here in South Africa we had Animax at some point but it failed dismally. Mostly because they constantly repeated shows and never put up new ones to watch (Solty Rei played for 2 years straight along with Eureka 7, that kinda repeating) plus it never garnered interest due to that.

In terms of net streaming like Hulu I haven't tried yet but from past experiences some sites don't allow us to stream... Lame

I have Crunchyroll Premium for over a year now. Got it mostly because I can stream currently airing shows. Not a bad service but the phone app is horrid. They still haven't added HD support on it

It's Adam... or Lilith. I don't even know the difference between the two. All I know is that it's a big white human-shaped blob with a scaled-up ornamental escargot fork pinning it down to the walls of hell. Taking out that fancy fork triggers a chemical reaction. The blob proceeds to rise like Pillsbury doughboy cookies, expands twenty-fold and results in its torso snapping in half due to an absence of a spine since it hasn't been meeting its required daily intake of calcium for the last 8 years or so.

In other words, It's from Evangelion.

10/10 better than hideaki anno

I think it was Lilith and that Adam was the thing that Gendo swallowed or whatever.

Fan service FTW!

Unfortunately. :indiff:
Prepare to see it A LOT in your anime watching career. So many tropes that keep getting used to the point they're hardly effective anymore.

Ex: Guy opens a door. He sees a cute girl getting dressed/in the shower/in a locker room/etc. She gets embarrassed and beats the crap out of him and the guy usually is afraid.

Just watch Love Hina, that show is full of what I'm talking about, and the main girl has the least amount of common sense during these situations compared to so many characters like her.

I hate to switch gears here, but I just finished watching episodes 6 and 7 of Madoka Magica, and I got chills from it. I won't spoil anything for those who haven't seen it, but... I've read the manga, so I know what is going to happen, but experiencing it is something very unique.

Madoka is an "original" anime, it's not based off of a manga.:lol:

I second this. Don't watch any adaptation from Ken Akamatsu's manga. The manga itself is the source material, is easy to get even in the US (so it MUST be easy to get elsewhere), and it feels like it has a higher amount of time and effort put into it. The last issue of Negima! was only released a couple of years ago IIRC, and it started in the early 2000's.

ARGH.
@SVX
No, what I meant is: do not even get close to that pile of crap, be it in paper form or in animated form.

@SVX don't.

Did it ever occured to you that he read the manga first, and is just now watchinfg the anime? Or as oblivious as usual?
Yes, I'm just laughing at the idea of reading manga for Madoka (There's like 93084384093894 of them) before watching the show, like Madoka was a manga first. If you're going to watch Madoka, go in blind into the anime.

I highly doubt the manga is as impactful as the anime.

A fanart drawing of Tiffany Lords from Rival Schools?

Yoon "Queen" In Gyl - Girls of the Wild's

Crappy manhwa. Was really interesting at first, but the writer went offtrack and still continues to.

edit: The overall lower quality of prize figures usually don't strike my interest, but:

Retailing for $10, I feel the sculptor deserves better pay. The crisp edges of the dress fringes and hair set itself apart from other prize figures. The level of sophistication in the structure is something I'd pay at least $80 for.

I'm pretty sure the anime came out first. As for that statement about the manga not being impactful, I respectfully disagree with you. My breath was taken away at certain points of the manga as well. The only manga's I care about in the Puella Magi universe is Madoka Magica and Madoka Magica: The Different Story; the others I'm not too crazy about (at least, not now). I'm not going to apologize for not watching the anime blind, its my choice how I want to do it, and since I got the manga first, I started it first.

Keywords: AS impactful

I didn't say I doubt the manga being impactful, I said I doubt it's as impactful as the anime is.
