I think I know maybe one guy who's into anime. Otherwise it seems a pretty feminine taste to me, for the most part. Guys tend to prefer DC and Marvel from my experience.

Most guys I meet who do take an interest in anime seem to stick with the shonen and mecha shows. Never met a guy who likes Madoka for example, but I've met plenty of girls.

Hipsters watch Monogatari for some reason.

There's only 2 female otaku I've ever met, hardly any around here that I know of. Mostly because watching anime and embracing otaku culture by many female standards here is seen as weird and childish but that's beside the point.

Personally it wouldn't hinder me, enjoy what you enjoy and maybe try see what they like then find common ground together. Even for someone you're trying to convert to an Otaku...

Looking back on it, while I was watching Oreimo I was the most cringeworthy childish little puddle of piss that ever existed. It kind of reflects the quality of whole show in general.

I must be the only human in existence who (not only) hasn't seen Oreimo (except one episode), but doesn't actually mind most of the girls from that show.
 


I've heard of Koufuku Graffiti and The Tatami Galaxy. Something I think I'll check out. (To add to the long watch list actually...)

Apparently there's uncensored episode versions for Shimoneta so I think I'll wait for those. Though I think it's better than Oreimo... Which I'll probably watch Season 2 anyway.... Don't judge me...

And that's when you cast your net for more fish in the sea. Or convert someone, that works too.

Had a good feeling Aria would be mentioned. #feelinghip

I have to +1 to the Aria series for being one of the best SOL that doesn't sell off comedy, and another +1 on Humanity is Depleting for episode 2. Episode 2 was probably the funniest episode of the entire 8-episode series, and it's sure to be unforgettable.
 
I'm getting very excited for the next couple of episodes of Yugioh ARC-V.

Spoiler Free Version: The latest Arc (5D's Arc) has been a bit more tame in comparison to the huge dark turn the show received during the Maiami Championship Arc but I feel like the heat is starting to pick up again with all the exposition given in the latest episode and the 2 people who are dueling next are having an interesting relationship during this arc.

The main characters are now being forced to compete on a CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES tournament where the winner gets to duel the duel king from Yugioh 5D's Jack Atlas, so they can prove to the people from the Synchro Dimension that there is an invasion being done by the Fusion Dimension which have already invaded the Xyz Dimension. Because in City, people only believe those with Power. However, throughout the Tournament it has been discovered that the losers get sent Underground and do pretty much Slavery unless they prove their worth back up. At the Underground we discover that the leader of Security, Jean-Michel Roger could be from the Fusion Dimension and are picking out good duelists to likely hypnotize and join him like he has done with a Criminal competing in the Tournament. The next duel is between Shun (survivor from the Xyz Dimension) and Dennis (Undercover for the Fusion Dimension) and Shun already suspects Dennis true identity after their last Duel, in which Dennis knows Shuns suspicion .

@Not_A_Guest Demo D is life when he uploads, but RC Anime from that video is pretty decent, haven't seen his other stuff though. Go watch Candy Boy and look for the Candy Boy :sly:

Speaking of Haruhi, Disappearance of Nagato Yuki was alright, finished it earlier today. The last few episodes gauged some real interest but bottom line was that it was alright...
