Hey why didn't you post this?

Because you do it for me :p

Back from the dead. Bought the collectors edition of A Lull in the Sea from NIS America.

Also not very related but I'm playing Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millenium Girl and I really like the anime cutscenes. Too bad there aren't a lot and they are pretty far between in the story mode.

Off topic, but MR2 update.

I started Owarimonogatari last night thinking that I'll only watch 2 episodes, oh wait, I got up to Episode 7. Fine it's good....

Ougi is spooky plus I love the way she takes shots at Hanekawa

Okay... so I finally watched it.

COWBOY BEBOP

On to the next fix!

Grats on finally watching (what is imho) the best anime one shot series ever made (preparing for flames).

I'd say you're comparisons to firefly are accurate but Bebop was animated over 2 years before Firefly aired so I'd say we have a clear case of who copied who if anyone was inclined to make that argument (I am not).

That said, I've never felt as strongly about any series as I did CB, maybe it was when I watched it and that period of my life, maybe it was something else but I will always have a soft spot for CB. 👍 👍
And to think of GITS this many years later... Totally with you on that one, I haven't watched it since I gave away my VHS I bought back in highschool (mid 90's when I first saw it in the US). Ended up giving the VHS to a philosophy professor when I was in college in the early '00s.

On a side note...

I watched the first episode of "Dimension W" today.
Seemed pretty cool but as with most modern anime I felt old (old, as in my age) due to the odd moments where the pervy fanservice ruined what should have been a benign moment.
That said, with some of you it probably will not be a problem since so many here seem to love that stuff (not hating, just not into it personally, and trust me, 20 years ago when I was a wee highschool student I didn't mind it at all  ).
Check it out if you get the chance.

Edit:
Oh, and OPM, I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. 👍

For those of you that have been waiting for the Evangelion 3.33 Blu-ray from FUNimation, it exists, and after nearly two full years of delays is finally going to start shipping.

#IveBeenWaitingForThisDay

Owarimonogatari was good, I enjoyed it.

Ougi is a sleuth and has a slick tongue plus you can't hate on Hanekawa. I'm happy they calmed down on the 'other' fanservice though.

I'll probably watch Your Lie In April next, or maybe NGE, I dunno.

Something else I wouldn't buy even if I were one to do that sort of thing.

maybe NGE, I dunno.
You haven't watched it?

Japan loves Koishi. Like, most popular there probably. Not sure why...she's really great though.

I am just here...waiting for heavens feel to be finished..(secretly finishing durara)

That'll probably be sometime in March. ufo tweeted some sort of project on that month.

I'm not all that excited about HF. I'm more indifferent than anything else.

Why Getting Off To Anime Porn Is Shorthand For Supporting Donald Trump

“If you are besieged by trolls and are also okay with blocking people who might be extremely intelligent and engaging and also fervent otaku… the ‘anime avatar’ is a mostly though not entirely reliable indicator of trolldom, and block anyone you see with one,” Read wrote, perilously close to false syllogisming all over himself.

Read’s confirmation bias is that people with anime avatars spend more time online, and therefore, are less socially adjusted. It’s the same way Wilson’s statement uses “anime” as a shorthand for an unsavory, unlikeable person who also doesn’t share your political views. It doesn’t help that—and I say this as somebody who often has a anime avatar—there are indeed people with anime avatars who harass, just like harassers with every other type of avatar.
