Oh and if i go to an anime convention i want to dress up as Rin Okumura from Ao No Exorcist but my parents dont even know i watch that show and id get a seriouse lecture if they found out i watch anime where they say some innapropriate things and swear alot-_- I have a long way to go...

I neglected to go to Sakuracon this year, it was too expensive and too out of the way. Might head there in two years.

As much money as you can bring! Maybe $50-$100 for the full weekend pass, plus $75 or so for the hotel room, plus your food, and you'll want at least another $100 to buy stuff. Of course if it's local and you don't have to find a place to stay and you just go for one day and you bring your own food, it can be pretty cheap, but that's not nearly as much fun...
 
What in the world?!

Weekend Pass??? Hotel Room???? What, are there Tour Buses to take you to a Convention too?
 
The one we go to every year the hotel is connected to the convention center via tunnel and there are also several more hotels in walking distance. The weekend pass at ours is $55 so that plus hotel plus gas plus food money plus spending money. It's why I only go to one a year though I hope to go to Comic-Con this year. It's highly worth it there is so much fun to be had.

That one I got on Sunday for $25. Sundays are great because the dealers just want to leave and don't feel like packing anything up so they cut you deals lol. I did buy a couple of things on Friday and I'm glad I did because they were sold out by Sunday. I did splurge on one of the Asukas but I had to have it. I picked it up for about $20 less than I have ever seen it online. And I also got another deal on Sunday on an Asuka. They were selling for it $80 all weekend but I walked in late Sunday and they said I could have it for $35. It was a display figure so there was no box but I didn't care.
 
Every year I go with the intention to buy something from either the Art Room/Auction or Artist Alley but I never have. This year walking through the art room there was a super cute Hatsune Miku original. I decided not to bid yet because I didn't want to drive the price up. So we waited in line early Sunday to get into the room and as we were standing there someone walks out with it looking all happy. I wanted to punch them lol. I did pick up a Miku print though from Artist Alley to replace a Tifa poster I had because I never liked it. Someone also bought me a pretty awesome Miku keychain.



I still need to pick up a frame for it:

I think I am going to start buying more from Artist Alley and less from the Dealers Room. They also had a charity auction where a lot of the Japanese guests brought things to be auctioned off to help with everything going on in Japan right now. I think they got about $2,000 from it. I was going watch it but missed it because we were getting our Tetris blocks ready.
 
The one I was going to bid on was original/colored pencil. The one I bought is a print but it looks like the original was water color. That booth had a lot of nice looking prints actually but I was searching to buy something Miku all weekend. Figures of her are ridiculously overpriced for no reason. That's when I hit up the Art Room/Artist Alley lol. I wanted that one in the Art Room. Was bummed when I saw someone walk out with it but I do really like the print I picked up.
 
Haha yeah but it's only Miku. Online, in stores, everywhere. Other figures will be a regular price and hers will be $20-$40 higher. Same company, quality, everything. I haven't figured it out yet. I've just accepted I'll never have a Miku figure haha.

No Puella Magis. It's like the show doesn't exist. I was hoping to see a cosplay group but nothing. I was also searching for a Mami figure but I didn't see any merchandise with Madoka. Will probably have to wait until next year. I'm sure Kyubey plushies will be everywhere...

About Miku, She's extremely popular.... don't forget that popularity alone means that they can inflate prices... maybe you as a miku fan won't buy it, but because they know they can get some extra cash by tacking a bigger price tag and still be able to sell it, they'll definitely do it.
 
Yeah that's true but it makes me sad/rage lol. However there was a real Miku walking around that I wanted to bring home XD. I'll post the rest of the figures/stuff later but I have to go. I'll just leave you guys with a few more Madoka pictures first :)

I bought stuff for my friends while we were there but that Asuka is the coolest gift I got haha.



Saw this Revoltech Unit 01 and got it. It came with a lot of accessories but I just stood him up until I figure out what I want to make him do:

This Vash was there last year and I wanted it but they only had 1 left and my friend wanted the entire set. I let him go ahead and get it but when I saw it this year I went straight to it and got it:

Also got a Revoltech Asuka that I've been wanting. Also comes with a lot of accessories and is fully poseable. Have her chilling with R2 right now but she came with an awesome angry face and I might give her that and have her fist fighting my Gundam:

And finally the most expensive thing I got. It was my first purchase on day 1 but I'm glad I went ahead and picked it up because on day 2 they were sold out at every booth that brought them. I've seen it on eBay but never got it and didn't expect to see it at the con. My friend pointed it out and I got it right away lol:

In other news I am finally almost done with Railgun. I think I may go ahead and finish it tonight so I can start Index II.

Well we do buy each other stuff a lot. It's usually smaller things I think it's why the Asuka surprised me so much. Only those first 3 items were gifts though.


Also I don't know why I haven't finished Railgun yet. I blame it on being out of town/busy for almost 2 weeks lol.


And thanks I was leaning towards Fate/Stay Night. I got Blu-Ray copies so hopefully it'll be pretty awesome.

That was a fantastic episode of World God only Knows II, edit: AND a fantastic episode of Ao no Exorcist... best one by far, but still repetitive...

Damn, that's an incredibly "I'm a freak" kinda pincture, but it works. Nice buys all, take pictures from your collection! I'd like to see it.

Wangan Midnight is closing to an end, yet it reminds us once again why it sucks:

Turns out that the engine in the Z is… stock! Internally at least. The pistons and camshaft are stock L28 stuff according to the guy who built it. We all know that 40-year-old cast pistons can withstand the boost from two turbos all the way to 600 horses, with the stock cam no less, running at 7,500 rpm every night at WOT for extended periods and not blow up at all. If this wasn’t episode 25 I’d dump the series right away. Whoever was the technical advisor did an outstanding job of making it totally ridiculous.

And Sephy, post your pictures here. I'd guess everyone here would like to look at your stuff.

EDIT: Wangan Midnight has ended.

I have never seen an ending so lacking a climax. Maybe witch Hunter Robin’s, but even that one wasn’t as bad. Nothing happens, NOTHING. The ending could have been episode 6. Or 9. Or any other in which a new car that’ll race against the Z is featured and it ends up loosing against it. I was hopping that at the end something would happen, but as I feared, the series could have been 6 episodes and it would have been the same.

Heck, the series could have been just the images of the cars racing, with no background and no story and no characters whatsoever, just the races one after another, and it would have been better.

I thought it was pretty funny. Kuroneko is awesome. I watched it in secret about two months ago.
