I have seen 00 though, just the reviews from other people led me away from it.

For Trailblazer? If you're referring to the reviews I think you are (post release?) you really shouldn't have paid those any mind. Half of them didn't even know what they were talking about. :boggled:

T12 you sound like one of my old roommates. If I ever have a Gundam question I know who to ask!

I think he means he didn't watch 00 until later because of reviews he's read/heard but when he started watching it, he enjoyed it

Mhm. He even tells me he saw 00. I can't read. :grumpy:

Ninja Post:

You still talking about EXAM? Unlikely, Vist didn't have any direct or indirect relation with any MS production until the UC Project.

Yes, they have. It's been told that the "Vist Foundation is responsible for manipulating the events that have influenced the Earth Sphere in the Universal Century. "

I don't see why that the Foundation couldn't have had even the slightest influence in the Flanagan Intitute and at least hinted to Chulst Morst to go to the federation.

And the fact that the Foundation deals with both the Federation and Zeon makes me speculate more..

NINJA EDIT (not really)

Granted they didn't have influence in MS production, it doesn't mean that they didn't have a hand in developing the EXAM system as a program (then perfect/update it into the NT-D system)

Just got back from work. Had to do an almost 11 hour shift, for a pizza delivery job.

Gotta do the same thing tomorrow.

At least I have Mayo Chiki and Usagi Drop to watch tonight.

Ugh. Stick with me here...I may be a little off in places, my memory of the UC timeline and events are a bit off (admittedly, I checked a few sources before responding).

I'll have to look into this...

On one hand you have a system, EXAM, that's for all intents and purposes utterly useless as an enhancement system unless Marion's spirit 'awakens', for lack of a better term. There was no way to control EXAM; it activated simply when it activated. It even killed a few test pilots and reportedly (which I'm struggling to remember to be true) rendered some of them bat:censored: insane. On the other hand you have NT-D, a system which activates upon detection of another Newtype and which the prime intention is to destroy said Newtype.

Hence, the "NT-D".

Could it have been a precursor to some extent? Sure, but was any data obtained from EXAM used? No, and I'll explain why later on...

Anaheim Electronics also profiteered off of any faction willing to pay. That really doesn't prove anything. Other than "I don't play favorites, I just want your greens!"

How would they have perfected anything from EXAM when all three units (four, if you count the Efreet) were destroyed? Marion's spirit was no more, and I believe both Nimbus and Yu were KIA. Now, again, could EXAM have been a short-sighted precursor? Perhaps...there are some likenesses to that and NT-D, but the one thing you're possibly overlooking is that during Side Story, Newtypes were still an incredible and unknown threat. The Flannagan Institute was tasked with studying Newtypes and perfecting Newtype-enabled weaponry. So if anything at all they would have aided to some degree in the production of the Psycommu system before any psycoframe-enabled MS. We're talking about 0079 here, Newtype research was only just beginning...I doubt anyone thought that far ahead so soon.

I forgot totally about Marion's spirit, thanks for reminding me about her. Adding her into the whole thing, you're absolutely right on the whole EXAM thing but it doesn't mean valuable data (which could've been possibly backed up to a secondary system) could have not been collected during it's short operation lifespan or at least the data on the newtype experiments or something :indiff:

I dunno, i'm just broadly throwing theories out now lol

Also, Yuu survived the ordeal and was one of the Jegan pilots who tried to stop the asteroid in Char's Counterattack from falling to earth.

Anyways, i love me a good gundam debate (for once) :D

You're right, it doesn't mean some data couldn't have been salvaged in some fashion, but again, being so early in it's development cycle the data wouldn't have served much purpose after EXAM was destroyed anyway. The entire purpose of EXAM was really (and I'm just now thinking of this too) if anything at all, a precursor to the quasi-pyscommu; a system that gives normal pilots the reactions and skills of a Newtype, or better still, the half-control system that was used in the Neue Ziel. Except in EXAM it was hellishly chaotic and life threatening.

Also, Yuu survived the ordeal and was one of the Jegan pilots who tried to stop the asteroid in Char's Counterattack from falling to earth.

Huh. Forgot about that. As I said my memory concerning past UC events is a bit fuzzy.

And I like Turtles.

What a long discussion of Gundam there is!

Those are quick shots so hopefully we'll get lucky. Remember the old 2.0 trailer? Half the clips weren't even in the movie lol. I can't wait though!

Also one of the producers was at the last con I went to and he said production right now is pretty much at a halt since the tsunamis and he has no idea when it will be released.

Reported.

We may forgive you but the MODS WON'T!

:p

EDIT: I should probably post that I didn't actually report you.
