That back window seat, so popular for main characters.

In your dreams, kid....I have other pictures I could have violated and this is the last of 'em as the drawing isn't even that good to begin with.

Priorities: AOS-'s are out of order.

EDIT: Ooo double meaning. Go Sephy!

:(

You do realize many Japanese voice actors sound like kids, even if they're much older than the character they're playing right?

But maybe you misunderstood me... Never said anything about voice actors... I meant the characters being too young for their role. I've lost count of how many times I saw the world being saved by 14-17 year olds.

Because it appeals to the kids over in Japan.... boys go "HEY THAT GUY SAVED THE WORLD, AND HE'S ONLY IN HIGH SCHOOL! I WANNA BE JUST LIKE HIM"... while girls go "I wish I had a boyfriend who's like that.... Hell HE IS MY BOYFRIEND! Marry me, generic name-kun!"

Makes sense now?

Another misunderstanding? I never said it doesn't make sense... I just said it's stupid :p

Reposting same image in less than 5 minutes? Come on, dragonuv!

Make that 2 minutes next time; new goal.

I can't wait for FUNimation to solicit the combo pack for the actual series. It's streaming numbers led to additional rights a few months after the show finished.

I really wish the manga would come over as well, though it's becoming more and more unlikely.

Though there aren't THAT many kids watching these shows. Though manga is exponentially more popular, so that's where things can come in (Most anime is based off of manga after all.). It's already there, they're just adapting it.
*Waits for Captain Obvious*

Rayearth was epic! Clamp is awesome! Not too complicated, solid characters and motivation, for the time great style of animation, great voice acting (I only watch subs)... although it's been a couple months now so my memory may be hazy. But isn't that a good thing about an anime? Whatever your gripes may be while watching it, down the road you have only fond memories?

Now I think you're being too kind with it haha

I'm watching it right now, that is why I say it. Altough for sure, it has been WAY less annoying than I thought I'd find it after almost ten years. AND I'M WATCHING IT DUBBED IN LATINAMERICAN SPANISH, JUST AS I WATCHED IT WHEN I WAS 15! That's been something.

I'll see if I back up your epic statement when I finish it (already in season 2, all the drama and depression has just popped), but so far, it has been way more enjoyable than I thought it would be. My fears have been unfulfilled.

Nope, I'm mad I can't find a higher quality of Hellsing OVA ep2 anywhere... +1 table flipped to that

and your avatar attempt at 3.0 is GAAAH

Meh... I told you the cut out hair is not my fault :yuck:

EDIT: You meant sly's? You gotta quote people so I can tell who you're talking with, man :p

And if this were 2002, it would be much harder to get moe and loli avatars because there wasn't as many of those shows.

So find a different picture!
I'm so jelly, knees weak, arms are heavy,
there's spaghetti in my belly already, or was that vermicelli?
I'm nervous, but on the surface I look calm and ready to drop bombs,
but I keep on forgetting what I gulped down,
the whole crowd goes so loud
I open my mouth, but the goop won't come out
AOS is choking now, everybody's joking now
The clock's run out, he's totally jelly, bloah!

Today's Mobile Suit is the White Devil itself, the (second) Gundam that started it all, welcome the original Gundam - the RX-78-2.

(Disclaimer: I'm a bit pressed for time so most of what you'll be reading has been copied from Gundam Wiki, with edits here and there).

The RX-78-2 was incredibly advanced for its time. Built from lightweight Luna Titanium alloy, its frame was both lighter than that of Zeon's mass-produced Mobile Suits and much sturdier, able to shrug off a Zaku's machine gun fire with little to no damage. Its offensive power was above and beyond that of the Zeon Zaku's. The Gundam would engage in most battles with its Beam Rifle making it the first Mobile Suit to have firepower equivalent to a battleship beam cannon. In addition, it made use of two beam sabers, a blade of extremely hot plasma which could cut through any metal with ease. Those beam sabers could be extended into a spear-like beam javelin, which could be used to stab into an enemy from a longer distance than the blade of the saber would allow.

In terms of technology, the RX-78-2 was equipped with a sophisticated Learning Computer which would collect pilot and enemy data during skirmishes and allow it to operate more effectively. The data from the computer was used by the Federation to improve the controls of the Gundam's mass-produced form, the RGM-79 GM (literally, Gundam Mass produced). In addition, it was upgraded by Federation technician Mosque Han shortly before the Battle of A Boa Qu to improve its reaction times, the joints of the Gundam were given a Magnetic Coating, based on the experimental procedure performed on the RX-78-3 "G-3" Gundam and later used Amuro's intended successor unit, the RX-78NT-1 Gundam "Alex".

The Gundam makes use of the Core Block System implemented in the other V Project units. The torso of the Gundam is mostly hollow so that an FF-X7 Core Fighter may dock with it. This allows the pilot to jettison the legs and torso of the Gundam should the Gundam be too heavily damaged and gives the pilot a chance to escape from battle.

The RX-78-2 was the second of three Gundam prototype units constructed on Side 7 in UC 0079, as part of the Earth Federation's V Project. Built to complement the long-range unit Guntank and mid-range support unit Guncannon, the Gundam was designed to be a highly mobile, close range machine with advanced weaponry beyond that used by Zeon's machines.

Ultimately, Amuro's Gundam was destroyed, despite that the class itself enjoyed a long service life in the Federation, being made with many variants before being replaced in 0087 by the RX-178 Gundam Mk-II, the Zeta Gundam and the Double Zeta Gundam.

Isn't it obvious? He's 42...

Nice reference. 👍

I read thru 4 pages and have no idea what's going on in here.

SCIENCE!

No, it's because having a blonde loli as your avatar seems to be a trend as of now.

I wouldn't call it a trend...

And if this were 2002, it would be much harder to get moe and loli avatars because there weren't as many of those shows.

It's a trade-off. Good anime or lolis everywhere...

I gotta say I didn't expect another one so soon. Go T-12! It's your birthday!

I just realized I forgot to watch the latest Persona 4. OH WELL, I'll get around to that eventually.

Honestly I don't know why you're even watching it. It doesn't seem like your kind of show and I'm only watching it because I'm a fan of the game. I will say the last episode was pretty lulzy though.

Really? AOStina has nothing to say about the MSoTD?

Really? I'm actually shocked.

Now we're going to make an "I'd watch my favorite show but I kept falling asleep" club and then have like 200 people join.

I wouldn't join. But if there's ever an "I'd watch my favorite show but I passed out wasted" club then sign me up!

EDIT: Jeff just assaulted the "Recommend me a show" thread.

Older anime on average>Newer anime on average

So many 90's, and early 2000's shows are better than what I've seen in the past few years. Though I have seen many amazing gems of shows that have come out in the past few years.

Also Loli, how about you watch Fruits Basket instead?:sly:
