World War II is an interesting time in history. Though I doubt that many actually had a true interest in naval warfare. That and its popularity had really exploded when the anime released. I really blame the show for doing this.

Oh and waifu simulator.
>the only game where you can "control" the girl of your dreams and she actually has a voice

I wouldn't be Wiki'ing Japanese warships without the help of Kancolle. Or tanks due to Girls und Panzer. Or guns due to Upotte.

On another note, the stuff of nightmares.

Watched the Psycho-Pass movie after it was fansubbed recently. Solid film, I say. The English acting was terrible though, compounding the fact that there was a lot of English being spoken. But the action helped balance that problem out, which even matched ufo's production at times. Funny enough as I was watching I couldn't help but seeing parallels between Kogami and Marlow (from Heart of Darkness), since the movie takes place not only on a floating island but in the jungles of Southeast Asia.

Changed the avatar. Couldn't stand that other one I had. Seems I have a huge dislike to a particular fashion style.

This one is still by hong though.

Confirmed for worst (well scummiest) picture of all time

But then you'd represent it with, say, the winners? Isn't that right? Spitfire > Tirpitz
Two world wars and one world cup, doo dah
When I'm watching I sometimes catch myself going: "That one was sunk...that fleet was creamed by only 3 carriers...that one was pure ****...". :p

They're trying to hide they fell apart at the seams. :p

Is operation Ten-Go a spoiler for season 2? :V

Okay, where was this? San Diego during Comic-Con? It looks like a US bus to me, but I can't tell anything else.

Ordinary people exercising common sense. :p
fixed

Then again all my common sense goes out the window when I see a picture of Hamakaze. blegh

Hell if you wanted to make a story about American military stuff you may as well adapt Catch-22. It's a great book.

So I picked up two of the new Monster omnibus collection things, as well is all of the FLCL manga.

I'd assume most of you guys have already read/seen Monster, but if you haven't I definitely recommend picking these up; the quality of the series and these omnibuses is pretty high so far, although the second one has gotten kinda strange.

FLCL manga's art style is very rough.
It isn't a 1:1 adaption of the anime: seemingly its plotline is based off of an earlier version of the script.

Art-style showcase:

Its hard to tell with this potato-cam shot, I know.

Here's the cover art

The roughness fits, but yeesh, you'd think he'd clean up his lines a little.

That would be Strike Witches. Looks interesting, but I don't like the character designs that much.

Flight Highschool manga gets me all the aviation moe I need.
