Oh snap. I still haven't finished the movie for that yet. What's your score on that, Techny-kun?

Lol Techny-kun. That's cute

The film was fine. My only real issue is the Engrish. But for the most part it's a lot like S1 so it actually works and paces well

^ First time I've heard this series! Looks very promising! 👍

After finishing Oreimo season 1,

Best way to sum it up: It's stupid...

Kirino is still awaiting the almighty slap.

Nope. Already finished that the day it aired. How are you liking it?
It's a real interesting anime so far. Reminds me of movies such as Equilibrium and books like 1984 and A Brave New World (Never read that book, but have heard of it before).

Might recommend it to my teacher in that case.

I haven't watched Psycho-Pass yet but I want to avoid anything that has Urobuchi's name on it.
Everybody might say Urobuchi's works are good, but I would probably see them as trash.

Can someone explain the Urobuchi hate I see everywhere? The only thing he's involved with I've seen is Madoka Magica. Are his other works not of the same high standard?
Gargantia and that recent shota/loli stupid crap (can't be bothered to remember the name) were absolute dog piss.
Also that Expelled from Paradise thing was mediocre at best.
The problem is that when Urobuchi's name gets on something, it automatically makes mad cash money, so even if a work is completely made of cat vomit it'll still look good to investors and fans.

So I just learned that Ghost in the Shell and Appleseed take place in the same universe...
Time to go watch both of them.

Yeah but...writing off Urobuchi for yourself doesn't change the public's perception. If it's the hype train you don't like, wouldn't it make more sense to hate the people and not Urobuchi himself?

Not really. I just hate him because he probably knows he can take a dump on a piece of paper, call it a script, and still sell it.
That's what happened with some of the shows he helped write, though.
