I actually happened to catch the last half of the YuYu episode and it was not bad, but I have no idea how the story goes in the series, as I have only seen like a grand total of five episodes of YuYu. Does anyone happen to know how many episodes of YuYu there are?

Also, I watched Inu Yasha and still do not have a clue what is going on in the series. It is kind of hard to get into a series if you have no idea what the story is behind the series.

And I watched Gundam SEED. It was a pretty good episode, though I do not have any idea what is happening in it either.

Man, I do not know much.

There are 112 yu yu episodes, right now the series is about 5/8th of the way through.

As for the story... that's a long one, but to make it really short. Yuske was killed saving a child and as he was killed the ruler of the spirit world decided to give him a chance as "spirit detective."
The story follows yuske on his cases.
At this point in time he is working on winning the "dark tournament" and defeating the younger tagoro brother.

Go look into it, I like the series, I bet you could too. ;)

About inu yasha...
Right now that series is still running in japan so it is hard to say where things will go. Especially since we are way behind them in episode count.
However, I really suggest you keep up with that show.
The more you watch it, the more you will like it.

And about the story... Well, kagome falls into a well that takes her back in time to fuedal japan.
Demons run rampant and eventually the story of inu yasha comes out... Inu yasha is a half demon who feel in love with kikyo.
Kikyo was a priestess who was betrayed by a demon posing as inu yasha. Because of that she shot an arrow through inu yasha's heart and pinned him to a tree with a sacred arrow that could not be removed, that is, until kagome showed up.
You see, kagome is the reincarnation of kikyo.

Well, the series follows the story of inu yasha and kagome falling in love as they persue the demon who betrayed inu yasha and kikyo.

All of that is still leaving out the sacred jewel. The jewel is cursed and evil but holds incredible powers, and because of that every demon in the world wants to get their hands on it.

Kagome and inu yasha are also tracking down the fragments of that jewel throughout the show and as they do so, they find quite the adventure waiting for them.

I personally love inu yasha.
It has a great blend of humor and action. There are only a few series on tv right now that I like as much as inu yasha.

Having that many episodes, talk about a way that will kill a fan of cash if they want to try and buy the whole series on DVD, especially when they put only three episodes on a DVD. Even if they put five on one, it would still not be very cheap. The prices of DVDs of anime has to be the most lame thing about being an anime fanatic. BTW that reminds me, I finally finished buying all of Cowboy Bebop on DVD . . . now I just have to get around to watching it.

Well being that they only show one episode, once a week, it is going to be hard for me to get into it. That week between the episodes is just too much time. Unless maybe I can find some of the episodes on the internet somewhere.

Yeah I does kill to buy DVDs that what I do since I don't have those cable channels.... A four DVD set of Serial Experiments Lain made me lose 116 bucks..... :ouch: I want to watch Hellsing and Eva but I don't have 300 bucks for those two..... (I don't use Kazaa cause of dialup connection)

nightkids4ever
lol, go to san fran, 30 bucks a boxset

Yeah, that'll be really economical, considering I live in Oklahoma. And are those boxset actual real boxsets or bootlegs? The reason I ask is because bootlegs are not of very good quality, especially if you want to watch the anime in Japanese. The subtitles are terrible!

I got a bootleg for Bebop and the subtitles sucked also~ :indiff:

The cheapest non-bootleg is probably Boogiepop Phantom.....

4 Dvd discs for 50 bucks!!! :) I wish all Dvds were that cheap~

Never heard of it until just now.\

Well I bought the first volume of manga for both Inu Yasha and Gundam SEED. I have a very little of SEED and the art is awesome. VIZ has really messed up the Inu Yasha series; it does not even run back to front. They have put it in the American way, which I am very disappointed with. I do not know if it reads left to right or right to left yet, but it does not really matter, as they have already screwed it up.

ill admit to owning at least some korean love songs, but thai pop is superb! still too fresh for stateside media.

gmm nite party!! a layo layo!

Tell me what you think of Initial D by Tokyo Pop; I have heard it is not very good from some Initial D websites, though I would rather hear this from trusty GTP members just to be sure. Tell us about the .hack infection too.

LoneWolfe,
Where did you get Blame from? Waldenbooks did not have it.

Yup, that's right!

Saturday toonami!

Man it was great.

Yu yu was awesome.
Yuske unleashed his full power and so did the great taguro.
Awesome power from both and it was one of the best yu yu hakashu episodes ever seen by these eyes.
👍 👍

Inu Yasha was also a great episode. 👍
The 3 episode mini-series (as I am calling it), came to a close with kagome sending the curse of the dark priestess back onto the priestess. This of course ties into the greater story since kikyo did the same thing many years before to the same dark priestess.
👍 👍

Last night was a great night for those shows and if you ask me, it was the perfect night for anyone looking to get into those series.

Tell me what you all think whether or not you caught the episodes.
And if you did catch those shows, please, elaborate on my own words. :D
Till next time...
Later. :D

Well I watched most of YuYu and part of Inu Yasha.

I am sorry, but Taguro is just goofy looking the way he is now. His shoulders and the little horn things, just flat out goofy looking. And who glows purple? I mean honestly, purple! :yuck:  Otherwise though, the episode was very good. I actually want to see how this fight ends up. I mean we all know Yuske will win the fight somehow, I just want to know how exactly he will.

Inu Yasha, well I did not pay as much attention to Inu Yasha last night, but I did see her shoot her arrow at the priestess, which probably was the biggest thing in the overall jist of the episode. It was not a bad episode, though I do not think it really compared to the episode of YuYu.

I also caught Gundam Seed last night, and kinda like Inu Yasha, I was not paying a ton of attention to the episode, but I did get the overall jist of it. When Kira went nuts at the end of the episode because of the thought of losing his friends on the big ship--what's the name of it again--was freakin' awesome. He just totally tore up the ZAFT forces mobile suits. He totally ripped right through them.

I have to agree with GoKents and say last night was a good night for CTN and the anime it showed.

last night I watched the "resume" episode of G-wing. wich reminded me to ask to everone, tell me... WHAT IN THE HELL YOU SEE IN THAT FREAKIN SERIES? the history is lame. the characters are lame. even the character design is lame. the voices are lame. the music is horrible, and all the characters are annoying. its a damned looser and it has taken USA by storm for quite some time now. may I ask WHY? O_o is one of the worse series I have ever seen.

Cano

come on, tell me. did they pay you all or what? about the only positive thing in there are some gundam designs, and I said some... :odd:

just got initial d( tokyo pop version) and . hack infection

*shudders* :entering pimp~slap mode: even after A fREAKiN YEAR of tokyopopism, you bought it anyway?👎 :leaving pimp~slap mode:

i guesss you bought it for research :fullo*****:

joking dude

Is TokyoPop really that bad kirkis? I would not really know--at least not other than word of mouth--as I do not own any TokyoPop stuff.

no impact, no idea, but damn good skinning! wow. pssst id like to see where you get good skins :D

tokyopops path of cultural disregard didnt just maim initial d, it got GTO as well, real bout (which had potential in its original form..not joking) and one other fantasy anime. cant remember. its sounds so ridiculous (gto) as if the acotors had to recite lines at gunpoint. The DVDs content must have been planned by a adult with adhd because he absolutely has no attention span to watch more than two episodes. Its not absolutely horrid but the straight cheese you could find on sat~morn imitation cartooons. what disgrace to my hobbies *trekkie piss violence stirring* A poorly subbed bootleg of the virginlike ORIGINAL show is a sure choice over any tokyopop product (inconspicuous hint:-> D)

dont trust anyone over 25

^^above is a bits of pre~reheasrsed rants that come out at opportune times :D peace

up to this point i've made all my winamp skins. If you want the dload for this one i'll post the site.
*sighs of a humble art patron* its hard work (skinning), does it fall under a type community service? ...hmmm i guess it is!
