Damn! For some reason, I thought Naruto was a Japanese horror flick or something...... Looks like the impressive first post scared everybody away, eh? I guess "Naruto" is a Ninja cartoon? :dopey:

What in gods name? For some reason I'm subscribed to this thread ... but I haven't posted in it and I've never manually subscribed to a thread. What the hell ....

That is weird. Maybe it's trying to tell you to watch Naruto - if you haven't before.

Well - if it's played on CARTOON Network - that might be a good indication that it must be a cartoon/anime. Doesn’t it? ;)

Yeh i love Naruto.

Jump magazine! I grew up reading those. :D

Yeh my mate used to get them send over by his Grandfather, and he lets me read um, and i remembered Naruto being on the cover :D

one peice is good, but any dubbing on films and tv is cr*p :yuck: 👎 shame as well as alot of foreign movies are better than most stuff churned out by Hollywood these days.

Well Naruto is definately a cool series. I am up to date with all 153 episodes.

Naruto in Cartoon Network is a good attempt... I guess. However, I just don't see myself or anyone else really getting into it. I guess I'll give it a few more episodes before I can say that.

The only dubbed Anime series that I did like - was Dragon Ball Z. The only reason is because I've never seen it in Japanese before. But I'll agree most dubbing sucks.

You have to be careful with this thread.

I had an initial D stage 4 thread and got delted. Even thought stage 4 wasnt licensed. Naruto is.

Im upto episdoe 153 and manga chapter 277.

Great series 👍, been into it now for 2 - 3 years.

You have oto be careful with this thread.

duno why, not exactly against the law to talk about a anime unless there is some sort of anti anime police i dont know about.

Just watched Prince Of Tennis/Tennis no Ojisama ep 170-174 great series. 👍

I think he meant it as - no posting torrents or any other download methods/link of Naruto.

lol copyrigth nazis heheh i love that, neways subbing sucks ass but you guys need to watch DBZ in spanish its the worst subbing in the world.

Hey all, I'm just wondering about a few things...

Are you all keeping up with the newer animes being released here in the states on cable?

Specifically, two new additions to the cable television line-up (even though neither is "new").

RahXephon and Naruto...

Both look pretty cool.
Naruto I've been watching consistantly but "R.X." I've only seen once.

Only time will tell if either of them are as good as the hype I've heard but I've got nothing but time so all is good.

What can you all say about these titles? :D

Btw, I'm going to merge the "appleseed movie" thread as well as the "naruto" thread into this one... As they should have been posted here in the first place.

I haven't really been watching either of the new series on CTN. RahXephon, I hadn't even heard of and I don't know anything at all about it. When is it on? I have caught like an episode of Naruto and I would have liked to have watched more, but I haven't.

Really as of late, I've only been watching InuYasha, since they have been new episodes and new episodes are cool. Though I did miss this last weeks and I would like to know what happened in it.

I would also say I'm still watching Samurai Champloo, but since they started the series over before showing the second half, I somewhat lost interest. I've been meaning to watch the episodes over, but always found something else to do.

RX is like NGE basicly...it became a trend for a short while but its not a NGE, I finished Samurai Champloo and RK....Im watch RK again because its cool like Initial D

Where did you finish watching Samurai Champloo at? If I would ever get around to buying--or had the money for--the second arc (I think?) of RK I would be able to watch all of it.

@Kent, ive watched all anime (154) and manga (278) of naruto, but have yet to see the dubbed version. what is it like?

OT-> Hey guy's long time no post!! How everything!?

BT-> I think Naruto is a little bit over-hyped, I keep on hearing about it all time on numerous forums I'm into. But since I haven't watch the series just yet, so I won't comment anything bad about it.

-> Samurai Champloo is cool, but the settings are kinda dark compared to Ruruoni Kenshin/Samurai X. (:

Samurai X is pretty dark and bloody. There isn't really anything very cheery about the first two OVAs. Neither of those have a very happy to story them at all, especially since they end in such tragedy. Of everything they have shown of Samurai Champloo on CTN has not been overly dark. Though I would say in comparison to RK, SC is darker; but then again RK is very upbeat, mainly because of Kenshin's positive spirit.

^ I really liked RK's story and the flow compared to SC. I rented disc 1 DVD of SC two months ago, and the only thing I like about SC was the music and the break-dance moves of Mugen. (:

RK has a really good story to it. I really like the series a whole lot. I wish I had the money to buy the second arc of the RK series, as I have the other two.

SC on the other hand is a different story when it comes to the storyline. I need to see more of the series to understand whats going on with the story. I just haven't seen enough of it to really form a good opinion one way or the other. Though I have enjoyed what I have seen of the series, the battles and general chaos has been great.

Hey all. :D
Small Fryz,
About the dubbing on Naruto... You're not asking the right guy when you ask me. ;)
I rarely have major problems with dubbing.
Voice acting is something I can deal with most of the time. I would have to say Naruto's voices are acceptable.
Each character sounds about the age of the character. 👍
Other than that though... :indiff:
Probably better in the original form with some geeky voice for Naruto and some little girls voice for "pinky."
(sorry I don't know the series better :guilty: )

That's just my take on it. :sly:
I bet someone else here will have some thing to say about the dubbing in Naruto. :D

Did anyone happen to see that Cartoon Network is going to start showing Neon Genesis Evangelion now? This saturday, the first episode is going to be shown.

They took out NGE once because the first ep was gorey and confusing but I loved every bit ^-^

I've only seen the first and last episodes of Evengelion and I'm DYING to see the rest!

And the last episode in particular was "The End of Evengelion". It's just awesome...I can't describe it in words. Even not having known the background, I thought it was rediculously cool and well done.

I've also begun to read the manga Saikano. It's also got an anime but I haven't seen it. I'd HIGHLY recommend it for people who want something different. It's more of an adult anime, but not because it's particularly violent, mostly because a lot of the random humour is done away with. It's mostly serious.

I never seen it before, so I'm a cherry in all of this.

I really liked the mechanical design, very cool. But, I think the English dub is way off, really off. I usually don't complain about the dubs, but this one was almost irritating to listen to.
