Man, it's been too long since I was in this thread ...

Just a curiosity though, any of you ever heard of the 'moe tournaments' like International Saimoe League? They're kind of like popularity contests for anime girls, as 64 of anime's most adorable fight in a March-Madness-type thing for the ultimate trophy.

Wondering because I've personally been doing a lot of campaigning for Kanon's Shiori Misaka, and I figure I'd see if anyone here would be interesting in lending a hand - or rather, a vote - for everyone's favorite girl with a bright with and an amusing taste in ice cream.

All the other Key girls - from Kanon and Clannad, and even Misuzu from Air - have already won their rounds (or gained automatic entry from last year), so I think it's only fair that Shiori gets some love too.

As for stuff I've been watching ... yeah, Clannad AS 16 was pretty sad, although the movie spoiled me so I was expecting it. I think corresponding scenes in Air or ef ~a tale of melodies~ hit harder, thanks to them having a vocal song in the background, but still...

Toradora continues to be one of the best romance-comedies I've ever seen; all the characters are so interesting and so difficult to figure out ... from the super-hyper Minori, to the mysteriously flirty Ami, and ... eh ... Taiga I guess too. :lol:

And how about that Maria+Holic? The OP is simply addicting and the show is hilarious.

As to put me into further anime debt, I've picked up Maria+Holic and Toradora!. I'm currently watching Toradora, and I'm shocked that it references the King of references (Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei) Which in turn references the Queen of references. (Lucky Star) That's nearly as bad as a comment I posted on a SZS video.

I'm in despair! A person in despair joining another person in despair leaving someone else in despair has left me in despair!

Watched the episode of Dragonball Z, where Goku and Piccolo got their Driver's License. Funny stuff. hahaa
 
Clannad: The After Story 17 was good, Toradora 18 was very interesting... (wonder what will happen next), and Asu no Yoichi is shapeing up to be a great anime! :) --- Randy
 
Well, propelling me further into anime debt, I'm doing Initial D, and I'm on to stage four. I'm pissed at the Bleach fillers, as well.
 
Kurokami The Animation.
This is a very interesting anime. The plot is whoever sees a person who looks exactly like them and is not a root(the original) will die.
The fights scenes are amazing!
Very insane in some parts..like the end of episode 1.



On a lighter note, Mezzo! The fights scenes and gun battles are awesome.
Amazing first part of episode 1.

Kurokami is similar to Hiragashi in a lot of ways. Like the weird disappearances and deaths. And the theme and surroundings feel the same. You can tell it's not going to be a "happy fun fun" anime. But the up side are the fight scenes. 👍. When I first watched it, almost everything was unexpected.

-> Out of curiousity, I watched Maria+Holic ep.1 [ONL]. It was a fun ep.1, but the character development is kinda weird, amost yuri even. :scared:

-> My first pointers of Maria+Holic:

- Mariya Shidou reminds me of Misa Amane of Death Note.
- The animation style is very similar to Tsukuyomi Moonphase, Negima!?, and Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei. Since they're produced by the same company (SHAFT)
- I like the ending theme song.
- And I like Kanako Miyamae very much! Tall, busty, cute, pretty, and sweet; too bad she is 80% lesbian.

^ Sorry to burst your bubble, but the upcoming episodes of Bleach is originally depicted from Kubo-san's manga. Unlike previous fillers like The Bount arc and The New Captain Sy&#363;suke Amagai arc, the new and upcoming Turn Back The Pendulum arc is a story what really happened 110 years before the series started. It concerns the Visoreds are high-ranking Shinigami and Kisuke Urahara is made the captain of the 12th division. It also shows up in the manga version.

^ Not the movie version (aka. Mezzo Forte), although the atmosphere is a lot lighter compared to the sinister and darker tone of Kite. While the TV version (aka. Mezzo), yes. ;)

Bleach anime is just... blah at this point. So many tangents to the manga that they randomly bring back up so you can't just skip the whole side arcs. Just sticking with the manga at this point.
