I guess I'm still too early in the series to find any sense at all to it (ep 8), so I'll have to wait to say that I've caught the storyline. And well, about the esoteric crap, man it's really annoying. Indeed the cars look amazing and those moments are the absolute pinnacle of the series. I even like to see the rendered trucks, taxis and other cars. In that aspect, there is nothing you can complain about.
As for the errors... come on, it's a 30 year archaic inline engine with three SIDEDRAFT carburetors and two turbos making 700+ hp, yet the thing drives like a Zetec Focus. I'm not saying you can't push 700 out of a setup like that, but it would be a howling, cackling, 1,200 rpm-iddling monster with a volcanic cams sound... not a freaking sewing machine. Just tunning three two-barrel sidedrafts for street use with two turbos pushing air trough them would be a nightmare's nightmare.
And of course the stock Z aerodinamics wouldn't make the car fly at 300 kmph, of course there is no way that big mouth at the front would cause extreme turbulence underhood that would cause a severe handling mishap in a high speed pass.
And come on, the cars are pushing 600, 700 horses. Where is the tire squealing every time they switch gears? Where are the two 200-metre-long rubber lines? They defy the laws of physics, just like the Fast & Furious Charger that smoked the tires while making a wheelie.
I'm nit-picking, yes. But WM is CLEARLY a gearhead-oriented series. Details like those should have been taken care of, and they would make the series LOADS more enjoyable.
And the guy is an ass. But we all know that.
