Get out of my house!!!!!
Finished Dead-oman Wonderland. Wow, did they have a limit on the episodes they could make and forgot to end it? I'm actually pretty happy with the ending(terrible ending for a show though), but I am planning on reading the manga.
Overall impressions: Crow is awesome and Minatsuki is HNNNNNNGGGGGG-worthy. I still hate Ganta, but I appreciate his awesome moments. 6/10, mostly because of episodes 5 and 6, the occasional awesome moment helped too. The plot has plenty of holes, it's as if a woodpecker got to it :3
Ganta is set on breaking free, breaks a hole through the wall, everyone escapes while he stays behind to "save his other friends", presumably the Takami siblings, one of which is actually convicted of murder.
Plans on killing Wretched Egg and Promoter, never happens...
Shiro's legs magically heal, she was about to go into a berserk rage, never happens.
Makina was doing some stealth sneaking, never got concluded.
Super Priest isn't the final enemy even though they presented it that way.
The way they left it allows for a second season but they didn't do a good job hinting it.

Persona 4 1:
What the hell was that?
This may turn out to be too shounen-ish for my taste. We will see.

The double-dipping will happen after I get the movies. The order of how I'll buy Eden of the East. But if you were to double dip, the money could have gone to the movies :/
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1956149#1956149hissatsu01Not only would they not have to worry about reverse importation anymore, they wouldn't have to worry about making any profit at all. The extremely cheap first Volume of Nana with only 1 episode on it was a gimmick to generate buzz, sold at 777 yen for 77 days. In and of itself, it almost certainly lost them money, which isn't something most businesses shoot for if they'd like to remain in business. Meanwhile the remaining higher priced volumes were probably decently profitable, despite much lower sales. Vastly increased sales are worthless if to get those sales you have to price something so low that you're selling it at a loss.configspaceOn the other hand, this indicates potential. The interest and the market is definitely there. There are Japanese fans who ARE willing to buy when the prices are significantly lower as I've cited here. In fact, reverse importation wouldn't be considered a problem if this were not the case.
GC time 👍. Is the stream still going tonight?
We get down on Fridays and you can take any seat.
Salmon Sushi <3
I almost bought Eden of the East for 20 dollars..till I took a arrow to the knee.
explain something to me, as I'm at a loss here: Racecar and T-T 12 are posting random pictures of hot girls bcause...? What happened to daily Yoko?
I won't be surprised if you drop it (I have yet to see ep 15-I will in like half an hour-, so I don't know what happened.) as Guilty Crown is one of the most mixed bag shows around (Look around the MAL page, especially for the reviews. They're all over the place.). Two of my friends on MAL consider it a bad show, one giving it a 4/10, and another, a 1/10. I've had discussions with them asking why it was low-scoring for them. I'll post this response one gave. You know, while watching GC I was seriously thinking to myself "Yeah... I'm not watching this anymore. 🤬 whoever thought this was a good arc to pursue."?
I've sat through some bad series before, but I think Guilty Crown takes the cake. The biggest problem with GC is that isn't not inherently bad...it actually has a lot of qualities and elements that could make it an exciting show. It has action, a fairly interesting plot and some good characters. But the bad writing takes all of that and turns it into a generic clichefest of sappy emotions and poorly thought-out plot twists. I honestly can't believe that some people don't consider this to be bad - maybe it's just me. Frankly, the thing that makes me hate it the most is that just when there feels like there is a glimmer of hope they immediately crush it (the most recent episode comes to mind). You think Shoe is going to man up and become cool - but then they turn and throw in more superpowers that make no sense and try to create forced shipping between two characters that have hardly even interacted. In the end there's only one reason to watch this show and his name is Scarface, but not even he can save it now.
In the end, it's a low scoring show because the plot is not only filled with holes, but it's intentionally written to be exciting without giving much consideration to the characters. They're much more focused on making Shoe into some sort of superpowered badass than a compelling character with interesting motivations. Overall - it feels very shallow compared to the many series before it with similar concepts.
You know, while watching GC I was seriously thinking to myself "Yeah... I'm not watching this anymore. 🤬 whoever thought this was a good arc to pursue."?
