The plot, the fact it's part of the Gundam franchise. I need to see more Gundams.
I've seen only: Gundam Wing, Gundam SEED (Not season 2 which is considered one of the worst anime in existence by far and Gundam fans don't want to speak of it ever), SD Gundam, and 00 (Both seasons-only Gundam I've completed). Best one was 00, but that may change once I see Turn-A Gundam and G-Gundam.
^ Um, G-Gundam is like a blend of YuYu Hakusho, DBZ, and Daimos mashed together. Compared to Wing, 00, & the MS Gundam, G-Gundam is a joke.
Broadly speaking, what about plots used in Gundam make it attractive to watch over other shows of the same genre, or other genres?
^ Well to sum it up, other than being in a Mecha genre; all Gundam series are basically
War Dramas. It explains the on-going conflict between both sides (Universal Century storyline) or for some meaningfull causes/purposes to counter established forces (00 & W).
