So I was out with this girl who finds me attractive. And we hugged, I was attracted to her and she went in for the kiss. Ended up having a cheeky kiss, or bit more than just a kiss lol (too much info) and I almost died lol She isn't even my Gf.. Is this right?! And no I don't have a GF or she doesn't have a BF. If this is inappropriate I apologise lol but I just don't know what to do.. :boggled::bowdown::sly:

Here is the problem. None of us want to be in a relationship yet, its weird I know but I just don't have a clue what to do. We kissed, but we don't wanna be together yet lol

Decided that tonight at work I will approach one of my colleagues with whom I've been in love for quite a while now. So later tonight I will either be very, very happy, or having a few at the pub. But at least I'm gonna have this off my back.

Well, nothing worked out in the end. She spend the entire night avoiding me, and since I don't really want to press the issue (in case I am completely wrong with my intentions) I decided not to chase after her and give it a bit more time.

Anyway here's the full story:

I've been working with this girl for about 8 months now. I've always been attracted to her, she's the kind of person who is always very positive and outgoing, laughing and joking about everything, and she's one of the few girls I've met in my life that I haven't had a hard time talking to from the very start.

However there's always been one problem, and that is that she's 4 years older then me (I'm 21, she's 25). Personally I've never seen that as a problem, as I really cannot say she is more mature and "grown up" in her behaviour than I am. But still I figured that she would never be interested in me for that reason.

So that was pretty much it, until something very strange happened at our job party last Friday. We didn't see each other throughout the whole night as I was hanging out and drinking with the people from my department. At about 5am, I went up to my room (the party was in a hotel and everyone had rooms) and was about to go to bed, when someone knocks at my door, and its her. So she looks at me, walks into my room without saying anything, looks around as if she was looking for someone or something, then looks at me, apologises, and leaves without saying anything else.

That kind of blew my mind a bit. Why would she go up to my room at 5am? Who was she looking for? Did she want to see if I was with someone? And if so, why? So for the past couple of days I've been meaning to talk to her to try and find out what happened, maybe invite her to have a drink after job at the same time to figure out for sure whether there was anything to be had between us. But she's been doing her best job to avoid me, won't even make eye contact or say hello anymore. Personally I don't want to chase after her and be over-assertive about the situation, in case I am completely wrong with my judgement of the situation and she simply showed up to my room to see if I had leftover beer or some ****. So for the time being I'm waiting.:indiff:

Um...weird... to say the least. I would ask her, but that's just me. I've been told I'm brutally direct when it comes to speaking to women so I need to change that :lol:

Who the hell knows. Maybe it was one of those moments like in the movies where we should have spontaneously started kissing and making love, but I just stood there, half-drunk half-asleep, with a confused expression on my face.

Either way, I've started talking to her again these past few days. Haven't asked her about that night yet, as I don't want to just randomly drop it in the middle of the conversation. But at least we're not avoiding each other anymore so that's good, hopefully I'll find out soon enough.
 
So how do I know that she likes me or not because I've been observant over my friend who is a girl and beginning to notice her moves.

When she's in your bed, you'll then start to understand that she has an interest in you.

Kind of hard to know out-right, so you'll probably have to start digging around. If she starts asking you questions that kind of surprise you, doing suggestive things, then that's maybe a sign.

Also, play along. I knew some girls that would smack my ass constantly, so I'd just do the same back. Be bold, but not an asshole.

An update from my last post.

The Sunday before new years, I asked her if she wanted to go to the city with me to see the new years fire works. We talked a bit and she said her parents said she couldn't. I'm 100% sure she isn't lying. She has strict parents, we've talked about it before.

On new years, a few minutes after the clock struck 12, I texted her and we talked a bit about life in general, you know just normal teen stuff lol, and new year resolutions.

Today was the third day of school since vacation. I'm still taking to her everyday during and in between classes. I feel like she enjoys taking to me more. Before, it felt like she was just talking to me to be nice but now I think she truly wants to talk. She also smiles a bit more when we're taking I think. I also noticed she would glance at me more often.

Sometimes I feel like I'm over analyzing everything and that I should just so thinking and start doing stuff than dwell on thoughts. But I am really proud of myself with actually talking to a girl. I definitely would have never dreamed of doing that. I've always been quiet, shy, and isolated before.

Are her parents strict meaning they don't want her dating anyone because she's too young, or is it a religious thing or something else? One of the traps you can fall into is always being attracted to girls who are unavailable. They have boyfriends, they live far away, they don't want to date, their parents are too strict etc. etc.. I think subconsciously it's a way of avoiding getting into a relationship while kind of feeling you're in one. Not saying that's you, just something to be aware of.

It's ok to be proud of yourself for overcoming this hurdle. It's a big step. What I would do is ask her to do things with you, starting at school or just after or before school, so that her parents aren't an issue. See if she'll eat lunch with you, study with you, pretend you need help in a subject she's good in (even if you don't need help), walk her home etc. Removing the parents from equation and if she's willing to spend time with you that's a good sign. At some point, you have to overcome the parent issue, but first things first.

I've said this before in this thread but some of you guys really need to work on your humour. Nothing breaks the tension better than a good one liner and nothing gets women to like you faster than being funny. You really missed an opportunity that night, if only to show how funny you can be at 5 am.

Whatever you do, don't talk to her to find out what happened. At best make a joke about it, but if it were me I'd never mention it. Just assume she digs you and move forward from there, although you probably went down a notch or two but not at least making an attempted pass at her that night. Believe it or not, women enjoy attention, knowing they are wanted and desired, even if she went there and knew she'd refuse you, she still would like to hear it. There's a time and a place for everything of course, you don't make a pass at someone at a taco stand on the street, but 5am at a hotel is pretty much open season for that kind of thing.

Again, at worst, you make her laugh, she thinks you're funny, she still says no, but leaves with the impression that you can still be cool and slick at 5am.
 
I have a problem, I wanted to court my friend(girl) but the problem is her friends, what should I do?
 
No I mean when I try talking to her, her friends/cousins are blocking me and they think she should choose a basketball player/gangster than a ordinary boy like me. :(

When it comes to relationships it doesn't matter if you are "ordinary". If she likes you she will find something special in you. You may not know it is there, but she will. Friends and cousins can get lost in all honesty. If they are rejecting you because you are not "cool" enough they are just revealing flaws in their characters. You should just find a time when she is free and talk. Not about love or anything, but about life in general, or a film etc.

I generally avoid grupies. If a girl needs a "team" to make a decision, I avoid them.

"I like you, but my friends don't. I don't know if I should go out with you...."

"Well once you grow up and make your own decisions, I'll come back to you. In the meantime, goodbye."

Simple. You don't have time to have your feelings played with on a daily basis.
 
Wow, you completely blew my mind but why didn't I think of that before. Maybe its best to avoid her or yet, try talking to her when dancing her during the prom.

They don't sound like very good friends to me. If my friend starts to tell me who I can hang out with and who I can't, I'd stop hanging out with that friend instead of the person that friend wants me to stop hanging out with.

Peer pressure among young women in middle school/high school is quite high. The popular/unpopular divide is absurd in my opinion.

To you and me, it's simple; don't hang out with them... to others not so much. Worrying about "status" in a damn school...
 
And you know, the Grade 9 students here in my school act like American gangsters
 
I'm serious though. They act like gangsters. I should discuss this further in the High School thread.
 
The girl I liked always behaved very good when I was in the room she would come to me and smile and nicely grin at me she would listen to me without Answering back or interrupting me and she would answer questions with yes or no she never swear at me expect for one time. Someone in my class said to me you should ask her out I didn't know if she told him to say that to me or not I can understand why if he was asked to by her because their was nobody else to do it and he was kind of a friend. A little yellow canary told me "If you know what I mean by saying that" when I was not in the room or the class she would act in a very different behaviour she would argue and swear and get frustrated at things most of this kind of stuff had nothing to do with me. Is it that girls or some people have to act a certain way around me I don't ask them to I'm not a dictator ! or is it the social standards that I use 'I don't swear and I don't ask people not to" or do girls somehow work this out and act the same way around you ? and why do some people don't feel free to act how they normally would when I'm in the room I just don't understand this ?
