The cars are currently beign tested and we still have 20 days to go before the selection process is open. Right now we are very very close to the target times for the cars, the GT-R is dead even with the R8 and the rest of the cars in this field. As for the F1 and NSX they are very close to where we want them to be and the results a single driver shouldn't be compared to the rest of the grid but rather to its own performance in all of the cars. It's no secret that Veloci is in a league of his own right now and we all need to step up our game to stay on pace with him.
The track list is posted on the OP, first picture under the "The Tracks" banner.

I get a good run when we have the full field of guys running, but the preseason race didn't have many of our top runners like Owens, Tiss, Blaze, etc.

So we're only doing a 6 race season then?

And IIRC, the NSX had some of the worst tire wear of all the cars in the line up at 1300kg, so with the lower weight, the it becomes a wash

Jav, b4 preseason at SS route 5 on Sun.i tested the gt40,the Lambo & the NXS at original specs & got similar times for all 3 cars at that track. Y the change on NXS? (only found out about changes after race)

Trying to make the NSX and F1 competitive, at the previous spec the cars could do 1 maybe 2 laps on pace but they would fall off drastically over a long run.
No need to panic guys, these cars are proven to be the most competitive grid we've evr had and I'm not about to compromise that. If the cars prove to be way too fast they will go back to the original Spec.

Lookin at it I still dont agree with a 4wd car in a GT series. NSX is just too light needs to be 1200-1250 or its tire wear will be too good no matter who is driving it. Also I dont agree with Mclaren F1 in this series at all not enough ppl to test it out and Its an old school GT1 car! If the F1 is in the viper damn well needs to return.

On second thought It would probably be best to drop all three cars from the list. Just my 2cents tho. Although if they stay I see at least 2 of them becoming like the black ford last season.

I'm working to get some of the other cars tuned and tested to see if they have what it takes to make it with those cars, and if need be, I'll talk to Jav to see if he can make some slight changes.

How are you testing the cars? Single lap quali runs?

Regular F1 i think preforms the same.

I'm running the cars through multiple 5 lap runs seeing what they can do on different tracks. Taking their best lap times and comparing them to the other cars to make sure they're +/- only about a tenth or two. I've gotten through only half the cars on the list under extensive testing, so tonight I'm going back for the rest.

I then propose my findings to Jav and he can decide what he wants to do with them. I just enjoy testing and tuning a bunch of different cars, so this is merely a way to make time go by while still being somewhat productive

I just want to know, should I tune the cars when I test them and balance for maximum potential, or run them default and balance them and let the tuners bring them up from there?

I think the cars should be tuned when tested. It would probably catch any unevenness sooner, also It will give a better idea of how fast the car really is.

The following performance adjustments are effective immediately:

-BMW M3 GT-R will recieve a 30HP concession bringing the official Spec to 552HP/1300Kg.

-Lamborgini diablo GT1 will recieve a 50 Kg weight reduction bringing the official Spec to 522HP/1250Kg.

-GT by Citroen Race Car will recieve a 50Kg weight reduction and 20 HP reduction bringing the official Spec to 502HP/1250Kg.

-Zonda LM Race Car will recieve a 50Kg weight reduction bringing the official Spec to 522HP/1250Kg.

-Corvette ZR1 RM will recieve a 30HP reduction bringing the official Spec to 522HP/1300Kg.

-NSX-R LM Concept Race Car will recieve an 80Kg penalty bringing the official Spec to 502HP/1200Kg.

-McLaren F1 Stealth will recieve an 80Kg penalty bringing the official Spec to 502HP/1200Kg.

When you set up the full thread, might I suggest changing the "Car Specs" pic to the adjusted numbers. That's a lot of difference

I'm going to the GTPFIA lounge around 12pm (GMT+1) to test some of these cars.
I still don't agree to having one car in the roster that you can't buy or win within the game (McLaren F1 Stealth). Either allow the regular F1, although it was very low downforce, or scratch it altogether.

By the way, apparently, the R35 TC is out of question, given both its current specs and other cars revised specs.

You'd be surprised how well the GTR does at its current specs. It doesnt need any help and still has good tire wear despite the extra weight. It truly is a much better car than the rest of the field in terms of technology, so thats its not surprising that it is the most handicapped. At it's current spec, its right at the top of the class.
