The Zonda is a good car but tyre wear is really bad, and unlike other cars it becomes undrivable when it's tires go. I tested the other cars and they are much more drivable with worn tires, can anybody help me with setup for better tire life?

My quali pass was a 2:00.2 I think. I did pretty well, hopefuly others have tire wear issues/bad strats again allowing me to gain places, haha.

You must of went off 3-4 times at spoon peter, lol. I was like 30 seconds back after my pit stop then 25, then 20, then 15, haha..

I did indeed go off around that many times. Realized how bad of a situation I was in, and so tried to nurse the tyres, while still maintaining speed with accuracy and use of all of the road. Ran wide a bunch of times trying to get all over the kerb on after entry.

The Citroen is a fantastic car, wish I had a chance to pick it. Not so sure about its tyre wear though.

Just making sure, we're running the official Suzuka round this Sunday coming up?

Hopefully my PSN card comes in the mail soon, so I can buy the Spa and Twin ring Motegi DLC, and get racing. The GTAcademy boys will dominate, though.

Meanwhile, The Ford is capable of a 1:57, but it takes an almost perfect lap to do that. Tyre wear still needs some work, however.

I need to do some laps in my corvette havn't done any kind of running in it since last practice race....

Ok first off I don't enjoy having to go to the second page to find our thread.
Can we get together a list of what place each of us finished GTA. We know where a couple of our competitors finished but it would be nice to see where the rest of us stack up!
I just checked the top 250 , but it would be much easier if everybody just posted their own times here and that would keep me from having to go to the second page to find this thread. See that killing two birds with one stone.

Lol! 495 for me with a 1:32.644, my initial goal was to break into the 31s but got tired of having to start over any time I'd hit a cone and not beign able to get a good rythm going.

With all due respect to you Jav and your series, I would like to end my stint with GTPFIA.
I find that running on hards, no traction control and ABS @ 1 only in a series is no longer fun for me. It takes up too much of my time and effort to tune on hards just to keep getting no where. I respect the guys very much who can run fast this way, but I can't.
Please, no bashing. I just prefer to race with these 2 aids on. :)
Thank you for letting me run. :)

Sorry to read that Tyson. You're always welcome to come back any time you like! I have in mind an intermedite series between the end of this and S3 2012 with low powered RM cars using one model and no tunning allowed, maybe you'd like to run that instead.

I would have like to run in this series the way it was. To me it was more fun.

It's not that I need less HP cars, it's the way the cars have to be run. Race cars run with some of these aids(TC & ABS). It's not fun sitting in the back of the pack most of the time. The series has taken a trip backwards and made it harder. Just because hard racing tires get more laps doesn't mean it made it fun to run on them. I'll run Daytona Speedway with hards all day long and even run on sports softs, but not on road courses anymore.
You're all a great bunch of guys to have raced with.

Good luck to Veloci in the next round of GT Acadamy you deserve a place on thier team.:)

Wow! You guys went for the season 2 GT2 specs and hard tyres? :-o

Yes sir we did! A few tweaks here and there to compensate for the tire change and overall change on grip levels trough the updates since we last ran the cars but they are still as competitive as they where back then!
You coming back?

Wow sounds good! I would love to, but I've only one functioning arm at the moment, and judging by the gap to you guys in GTA( I had to run one handed on AT!!), I wouldn't have fun doing it! I may drop in every now and again once this shoulder heals up again!

Whoa! You still nursing that injury? That sucks man!

Kinda! I just kept aggravating it! Did soft tissue damage on it in February, rested it for a week, and went back to my usual routine, then about 4 weeks back, went to a lake and jumped in to deep water from about 15-20ft up and dislocated it! Gotta keep it immobilised for another 3-4 weeks. I'll learn one of these days, but till then I 'll keep doing stupid things :P

Worse thing is I'm camping out at Silverstone next week! Should be interesting!

You only need 1 hand to drink...

 It's that part I'm most afraid of !:dunce::D:sick:

Hopefully the sound of 24 engines at 18,000 RPM should be sobering enough!

Spot Race tonight:

Hope to see some of you there!!!
