Hey guys, I'm going to have to back out of this series. PSN has let me down enough. I'm going to go play some Forza and wait for DiRT3. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I see the race is bumped up yet another weekend, stupid hackers what have you done to our lives? now we actually have time to go out in this weather.. damned you hackers!
 
I had YLOD the other day too so not sure if I will have it fixed tomo so changed date anyway :(
Same day that this forum went down as well lol everything ps3 related breaking!

wow psn finally up again! but man if the race is this weekend i won't be able to practise anything, really busy this week. but at least i will be at the race :)
 
Unfortunately, I've got scheduling conflicts with the next couple weekends. I hope there's enough time to find a replacement, sorry guys
 
i hope no one is even thinking of spoiling the f1 result during the race because some of us can't see it live ;)
 
I'm guessing we won't race that early? wasn't there some americans in this race?

edit: oh the time is 16 GMT, well it should be over by then right? not that it matters to me..
 
12.15-15.15 Spanish f1 on Sunday.
Definite time and date remains this Sunday, it looks like only Mudd can't race, I'll pm ppl tonight/ tomo to confirm who's deffo available.
 
wow not a huge amount of activity in this thread right now :P isn't anyone testing their cars when psn is finally up? I'm not because i haven't got time but i thought at least some people would ^^
 
I'm going to have a go at fixing my ps3 now. It's already dis-assembled, so fingers crossed I can fix it as I've underestimated the spare funds in my bank so getting a new ps this week might be an issue :(
Not pm'd ppl yet btw in case anyone's wondering. Watch this space.
 
There's a step by step video on u-tube for repairing YLOD. I followed the video about 2 months ago with success, my PS3 still running strong. The video I followed was by "djwhetzel"

Andy... I feel like I should get clarification of one point.

So... with the Challenger, it is easier to go over the 530pp limit than with the jag. My question is... we can do any modification we want (sans racing mods) as long as we can be AT 530PP using ONLY ballast correct?

I ask because in the one post you mention something to the effect of. "Use ballast if you end up a little over". This sort of implies that using ballast in any large quantity will be frowned upon? So I just want to be sure I'm garnering the spirit of this competition. My vehicle will be using ballast, and can be made to comply with the 530PP limit without problems, even after break in (though after ~250 miles its still gaining a HP or 2 every now and again, but I just add a few more ticks of ballast).

I guess I just want to be sure that we Yanks can get credit for the win fair and square :)

Yeah basically don't plan to use it, plan to get under the limit.
If you do go over slightly then it can be used to correct pp, if someone's way over the limit they should un-install or downgrade something, or start with a new car.

I've got 7 replies confirming attendance, so that's 8 including me. Not heard from team Merc yet but I think they will be racing.
Teams with 1 driver atm are Camaro Porsche and Jaguar, I'll edit these now and if anyone knows someone who might be interested tell them about this race and these free places :)

With the messing about due to PSN I'd like to say thanks for being patient everyone, not long to go now :)

I realise now that I can't make it tomorrow. I'm terribly sorry Andy, but I have to go away for the day. I'll hopefully be able to make it for the next coming races, but I can't tomorrow.

What time will we all be meeting? I know its at 1600 zulu, but are we meeting then, or meeting before and the race STARTS at 16Z?

Lancifer (if he hasn't sent you an FR yet) probably will tomorrow because that cheeky bastard is going to the U2 concert this evening.
