I think this is where the Nissan Motorsport LM effort forgot about this car.

Okay, this probably doesn't quite meet the criteria of this thread but the Honda CR-X is usually renowned for the eponymous one-make series that graced the UK in the late 80s and early 90s...

...so it would have been unusual to see a Honda CR-X race in the 1989 Spa 24 Hours...

...but race, it did, it came 3rd in its class and 29th overall.

The Fiat Tipo TCR!
While it's not the quirkiest car in this thread, it's not every day that a modern FIAT goes racing in Europe and it's not under the Abarth brand; especially because this one is a private effort by an italian company and racing team called Tecnodom Sports.
It only took part in Monza Race 1 and 2 of the 2020 European TCR series, and then ten more races in the 2022 TCR Italy series.
It didn't do great, only a 13th place in 2020 and an all-time best of 9th in 2022, both at Monza, and it proved to be uncompetitive in a sea of much more sorted-out Hondas, Seat and Audis.

This Jaguar X-Type estate has recently become an outright winner in the Classic Sports Car Club Jaguar Championship (a multiclass series, in which the X-Type competes in the lower classes, specifically Class C). The car is the series' first FWD entry.

It's always fun to see an Estate Car racing. I'm aware of the Volvo and Honda Estate entries into the BTCC in 1994 and 2014 respectively. Are there any more about?
