but why does it have just 512 sucky horsepower? i think it had about 700 or at least 600!!!
so why is PD making such crap? a vertigo with 900 PS and a Pwugwot with 500!!!

i really cant see that f1 car ever being in granturismo with an open driver engine and 6 wheels thats a lot to model especally since they cant even put convertibles in races currently

HYBRIDLVR
I know the Tyrell 6 didn't stand a chance of getting in but I sure could of made it beyond exceptable if it did!
tyrrell-6-wheel-web.jpg
Hrm, I don't think that would be that great a car actually, as Tyrell never found out if it was feasible to have 6 wheels.

The Jaguar XJR-9
Finally... this car rocks! I'm enjoying this game WAY too much! The photo mode is worth it's weight in gold. Great job Sony crew! :D

Enjoy the pics.

I bet you 10 hundred million pounds that the first thing people will think when they see your first CLK GTR picture will be the 1999 Le Mans where it flipped!! :dunce: And no before anyone thinks that it was not the CLK GTR that flipped at le mans, it did not even compete in that year, it was the CLR!

Now that is cleared up the photos are amazing! Still no R8? :sly:

Since there's no CLR in the game, I saw this picture as a remake of LeMans '99.
In fact this "CLK-GTR" is a CLK-LM which ran in LeMans '98 so...doesn't matter.

PS : you have lost 10 hundred million pounds. Can you pay me in cash? ;)

does anyone have some Peugeot 905 pics? well i think when there´s the Jag, there should be the 905 , too! so what about the 905?

I agree! come on 905 pics please!
It seems that nobody has seen the pug 905 yet... :indiff:

more, more 905 please!!!
perhaps with headlights on and with clear photos(at daytime, not afternoon or night!)
does anyone know sth about "other Black LM Cars"(88C-V, C9, CLK-GTR, Mc Laren, Peugeot, bentley....)??? i mean, are there just those 4 black Lm Cars? hope there are more!

I dont know why i have lost 10 hundred million pounds? I think you mean you have lost it as you have just stated exactly what i was talking about! I have been in many car forums and everyone seems to think the CLK GTR, CLK LM and the CLR are all the saem car and that it flipped at Le Mans, drives me barmy! The CLK LM which is actualy called the CLK GTR had a poor time at Le Mans but walked away with the FIA GT championship! I think you have misunderstood me!

It may be due to the fact your country lost to wales in the six nations yesterday! :sly: 👍

PS. What....? Sauber C9 i hear the public cry? You want pictures of the Sauber C9! Well MR8 could you help us out? :)

the CLK-LM and the CLK-GTR(98) were the same cars just raced in different races, and the clr was the last GT car of Mercedes(flipped at LM 99). discussion end!
here:
Mercedes CLK-LM ( #35 and #36---> Le Mans 1998):

Mercedes CLK-GTR FIA GT 1998 (#1 and #2):

and CLR (#4, #5 and #6---> Le mans 1999):

so NO matter to discuss, we have the world famous FIA GT car of "Klaus Ludwig" #2, FIA GT winner 1998!

No one's has gotten to the Date which provides the Black LM cars, I have the Peugeot, Bentley, 88C-V, Mercedes Sauber C9 and the CLK-GTR but no Black cars becuase there not available yet!

A quick question -

The bentley is shown to have 6 little logos on the front splitter, in between the headlights. However, in real life it only had 5 - each one for the previous victories. Has PD added a 6th to celebrate the 2003 victory? It certainly wasnt on the race car...

see here:
Real Bentley

Compare to the previous photos.... :dunce:

yeah that´s the only senseble answer, Bentley won (with 2003) for the 6th time now!
and for the black LM cars: so are they available , but you guys don´t have reached the DAY(or WEEK), where you can buy them? so are they in or not?

Hi, New here. I don't have the hardware to share my pics yet, but I'm enjoying yours (especialy the on with all the cars in formation) and the mature discusion.

Here is a very good site containg Design, engineering and aerodynamic info on some group C and most modern prototype cars including the popular Toyota GT-One

When I said remake, I said to put into light the fact that it is not the real one, because the real one was with a CLR. By the way, for the bait it was a joke ;)

I'm afraid you're wrong the CLK-GTR and the CLK-LM are not the same car. The CLK-GTR ran in the FIA-GT championship in 1997 and for the firsts races in 1998. Then it was replaced by the CLK-LM. But the two firsts CLK you have shown are CLK-LM not GTR.
Please to have enlightened you ;)

In terms of the off topic, discussion on the CLK GTR etc...i was under the impression that the 1997 CLK was the GTR, which i dont think took part in Le Mans but did in the FIA GT series. In 1998 they lengthend the CLK GTR put a racing V8 instead of the V12 in it, lowered the roof and some other mods. This was called the CLK LM which did awful at Le Mans but won the FIA GT championship. I agree that it is the winning Kraus Ludwig CLK but i undersntad that it is till called the CLK LM and not a GTR. Just a technicality but im curious!

Can anyone please post some high resolution images of the wonderful XJR9!! Please Please Please. Nearly every other car can be found in other threads (but dont hesitiate to continue posting the Le Man pics here) but the XJR9 is a rare sight! i assume not many people have got it! It is in the PAL version but is it in the American version? Also some specifications of the car in GT4 would be appreciated!

PS. Thanks for the web link! Great site!

Possible that PD was under instruction from Mercedes. They want us to remember the success in the FIA-GT championship…but to forget about the poor showing at Le Mans 1998. Hence the fudging of the name.

Merc motorsport boss Norbert Haug on LM 1998:
“We just did a bad job…we hope that it doesn’t happen again.” Little did he know about the fun to come with the CLR.

There are significant differences between the two cars:
-CLK GTR = 6.0lt V12.
-CLK-LM =6.0lt V8. (thunderous sound)

The differences in body work are also substantial. Note the intakes on the LM (highlighted in red.) Note bumper design and the altered low drag body work that GT Freak has referred to.

Incidentally, the V12 GTR was unlockable with a cheat device in GT2.

Just wondering why PD messed up the beautiful 905 by putting the wrong sponsor on it. Why Exxon and not the original Esso? Cheap compromising imo 👎

Well, actually, there is a difference between the CLK-LM and CLK-GTR. Sony must have not seen it.

Looks great Samberto!

Anyone have any more shots of the Audi R8 #1 and #2?

I see a magnifcent one that was taken right after coming around the last turn and side by side on Le Mans. Looked great!

Can't find it now. :guilty:

Esso is a subsidiary of the American Exxon Mobil Corporation. The images of the 905 are from the NTSC/A version…let’s hope that the pug has the correct sponsorship in the imminent PAL release.

Edit: I’ve done some research and my theory holds up. We can see that the PAL version has the historically correct Esso sponsorship on the wing. Note that the Esso logo is surrounded by a circle rather than the square for the Exxon logo. Thank your preferred deity that the PAL territories have avoided certain nation-centric alterations.

What comes to those Mercs I like more to CLK-GTR and CLK-LM more than to CLR. Them looks somehow better and nicer to drive. If someone is looking real one to buy click the link what is under this text. Also have seen one GT-One in sell but not there and also C group cars in some pages but dont remember where(I think it was some museum in Las Vegas) .

http://www.carclassic.com/html/CW44.htm . Pretty cheap isnt it?? :D .

Unfortunately I dont have GT4 yet as it hasnt released in here yet. Cant really wait it! BTW the photo what Samberto posted where BMW is leading is really nice,in every photo what I have seen LMP cars rock and the LM-GTP cars are way back. I dont like it too much! I dont know has here been talk to this before but I have 2 questions:

1. in Le Mans (circuit de la sarthe) race, how easy this race is to win and who are mostly your opponents?? I just ask this and I also know there is 2 races in la Sarthe but dont know will the opponents change.

2. in La Sarthe how many laps you can mostly do before you need to go to the pits and what car goes to there most often?? I have read that its not many laps and the Nissan pits pretty often. I just want to know.

The questions can be pretty dumb to someone but for me them isnt. I hope even someone wants to answer for them...
