If it comes with a V8 and Rear Wheel Drive - I may be interested! :P
Saying the last great Pug was the old 306 GTi-6!

Unfortunately no V8. It has the 1.6 from the RCZ-R with a HYbrid4 block. Is has around 340 BHP. 270 from the engine and the additional 70 from the HYbrid4. A bit on the heavy side with 1700kg but it's a tourer.

*turns on heals and walks out the Peugeot Showroom*
I'll keep my 205 GTi then! :P

That thing looks sweet. Bring it to America and drop a tesla powertrain in the back and an LS3 in the front.

Funny when i 1st glanced at the Title of this thread.... .. I read "Lincoln Returns, Politely exits" lol

Volvo-ish at the front.

It's pretty reasonable if not slightly bland looking but that was Peugeot's aim to compete in that segment (which doesn'tseem to warm to bonkers looking cars).

Hmm. Just yesterday I was wondering when a facelift for the 508 would come along.

Liking the sharper front more than the current model, which - looking head-on - I often mistake for a new Mazda 3 from a distance. And I understand the "Volvo" sentiment, though the RXH breaks away from the more conservative form with its bolder presence.

The SW remains the looker of the range, however.

still, Peugeot was always praised to use Pininfarina as designer of their big cat's front end... now it just blends into the ocean of same look-alike designs. For me, it looks like a mix a 2013 Honda accord and 2013 Volvo S60... where is the originality?

My all-time favorite Peugeot (besides the lovely 206) is the 406. This Peugeot 508 is quite sweet. The front kind of reminds me of a mid-2000s Honda Accord or a Volvo S60. Lovely car. Me gusta.

Hah. I used the current 508 to drive down to Geneva this year. Nice car, and much underrated - people just don't buy things like this any more in the volumes they used to, but cars in this segment (the 508, the Mazda6, the Mondeo, the Kia Optima etc) have never been better.

This facelift seems to work okay, and they've reduced its visual bulk a little with that character line down the side of the body - looks a little less "clean" than before perhaps, but it does a good job of making the car look a little smaller.

Fixed.
If Peugeot ever brought that to the US, I'd probably go after the wagon.

Peugeot is expanding their models and there is another model that probably comes in 2015. The 408 GT. The regular 408 is already running in Brazil and they are even used in the Brazilian Stockcar and TC2000. I thought that the 408 GT will come to the American market.

Cars like this are quite expensive to buy for a family. Second hand they are cheaper but those cars are also expensive to maintain. Electronics can be an issue and expensive to fix. Haven't heard to many stories about the latest models of Peugeot but Renault has had quite some problems with all their electronics. I don't see to many 508 in my region. More the smaller models like 208 and 308. The Citroën DS5 is popular here, the 508 bit less. I think within 2 or 3 years we see a lot more current 508 models. This because currently when I look at the larger cars that are on the road. It's a lot Peugeot 406 (sedan, coupe, break) and the Peugeot 407 (sedan, coupe, break).

Looks great, but I don't really care about it since it won't be sold here. Peugeot should take a hint from Alfa returning to the U.S. and do the same.
