Yeah. Damage Plan have a few good songs on their album, but the rest are 'meh'.

And yes, 2 former Pantera members are currently in Damage Plan: Brothers Vinnie and Darrel Paul. Vinnie is on Drums, Darrel is on Guitar.

I agree... They have a few good songs, but the rest are kinda cheesy...

Vinnie Paul and Dime-Bag Darrel...

;)

I've only heard the two singles off Damageplan's album and they sound very similar to me.

I downloaded this "New Found Power" album, it´s from DamagePlan. I was actually looking for this one:

But since I have it now, I´ll just leave it here. I only listened to it once, it´s a little too trash metal for my taste these days, but it sounded good overall.

Exactly my point. Most of their songs sound the same. They have 2 sounds. A heavier sound, and a softer sound. After that, I can't see much difference between songs.

THEGAME - Godsmack actually does fall under metal, correct me if I'm wrong but I would say Nu Metal. I don't like them really and I don't hear of them much on the sites I go to, or generally out here in Australia, so I don't know really. But I would guess Nu Metal. I know that they're metal, as on one of the news submitted to SMN News, it says Metal = 1...Punk = 0, and it proceeded to tell of how Godsmack and they're whole organisation of band members and crew beat up the 3 or 4 "Story of the Year" members.

hey.........i have'nt posted here in awhile. But yeah, i heard about the whole story of the year thing, and i thought it was hilairous. Oh, and you have'nt heard much of Godsmack? Well, since i last posted here i have become OBSESSED with them. Song i would reccommend from them: Serenity, Straight Out of Line, Whatever( the music vid for it kicks ass!), I Stand Alone, Re-align, Spiral, and their Acoustical album, The Other Side.

Just bought the latest In Flames CD, Soundtrack To Your Escape, and it is really good 👍.

But you love AC/DC, who have one sound that span across like, 25 albums?

I prefer their Reroute To Remain album personally.

They are both very good albums, but I agree Reoute to Remain is the better album, but not by much.

But it's different with AC/DC. They are legends, also they have a better sound that can withstand many songs.

Just click the reply button next time, it´s easyer.
Well, it takes a while to load on 56K. Plus, I know all of the commands for everything, so I don't really need to. All I need is memory. And ADSL.

No. They aren't legends. In Phil's mind they are, in your mind they are, but the fact of the matter is they are plain. They are original, but they aren't anything exciting.

Just my opinion.

I "got" the CD and it seems like they're a mix of KoRN and Chevelle(or maybe some punk band).

I wouldn't say that, the singing is much different from both of those bands, and doesn't really have much of a hip-hop influence. It doesn't have the guitar sound of Tool/Chevelle either. In Flames is a very original band.

Korn?... Chevelle?... Punk???...

I don't think you have a very good grasp of genre definitions...

In Flames do not contain any ellements from any of the genre's you outlined...

;)

In the song "The Quiet Place", he's singing like Jonathan Davis and then he starts screaming. Also, I think the guitar and drum work remind me of KoRN.

edit - The beginning of "Borders and Shading", also reminds me of Korn.

Yeah. I wouldn't say Korn. Chevelle is a much different band. And Punk? Not even old Punk sounds like In Flames. I mean, I don't like In Flames, but I think you have it wrong here.

Oh well, you can have your opinion.

In flames, doesn't sound like Chevelle, chevelle Is much better. Anyway, I listened to this one song today, some sort of horrible band was redoing "Hells Bells" THEY BUTCHERED THE F'ING SONG. IT PISSED ME OFF. It was on Graveyard Classics V.2 or something like that. It was on music choice.

Any Angra´s fans here? I just got the new album, "Temple of Shadows", and it´s just ****ing amazing! It´s the best Angra album in years, some would say it´s their best album of all time.

Features special guests such as Sabine Edelsbacher (Edenbridge), Hansi Kürsh(Blind Guardian), Kai Hansen(Gamma Ray) and Milton Nascimento.

I highly recomend this album for those who like Speed/Power/Prog Metal, such as Dream Theater, Rhapsody and Gamma Ray kind of music.

It´s a 10/10! 👍

For the most part, covers are piles of crap.
You have to listen to 'Black Velvet' by Night In Gales.

Does anyone know Night In Gales, by the way...? They're definitely on my top ten bands.
