I had a laugh. It's incredibly boring to me, much too slow, but it's funny. It's actually slower than AC/DC. Hells Bells is hilarious.

that singer has only one tone when he sings, makes me wanna fall asleep.

For the most part, covers are piles of crap.
Not all the time, sometimes the cover is better than the original, for example Motley Crue's Cover of Smokin' in the Boy's Room. I heard a sample of the Brownsville Station, and its too slow. Another example is also from Motley Crue, Helter Skelter, the beattles version just sucks.

Tools' cover of "No Quarter" is arguably better than the Led Zeppelin original... In my opinion, it's one of the best covers ever performed...

;)

I like Guns´n´Roses´s "Knocking on Heaven´s Door" better than Bob Dylan´s original. Ok, kill me now. :scared:

Yeah. I've never really liked Six Feet Under. They have a few good songs, though.

The best cover in my opinion, is Devolved - "Battery". Even though it's my favourite out of all the Metallica songs, this rips the threads out of the Metallica version. It's probably my favourite song off Devolved - "Calculated".

Some covers are good, but once you hear Britney Spears or Limp Bizkit try to cover something it ruins what ever good there is.

Oh god. That song makes my Dog cry from pain.

Or Hilary Duff. I agree.

IMO, i think the best cover of all time was by Marilyn Manson and that song was "Five to one", originally by The Doors. Although I'm pretty sure this doesn't qualify as metal, its certainly on my top ten of rock-remakes. 👍 Also, I think RATM did a good job with "(How i could just) Kill A Man", I know it's been sung before them or something but i just cant remember who...i know its been in like Wu Tang Clan or NWA or Westside connection or something or even song before/after that by some old geezer but i still say its a great metal-cover. I think i speak for both me and ND4SPD however when i say MM is the ****. Also, Methods of Mayhem! (Tommy Lee rockin' casually...) :sly:

Rage Against the Machine aren't metal. They're Alternative.

*stabs repeatedly*

The GnR version is pure tripe. Tripe!

I hate his voice in the song. That's Tripe!

His voice just doesn't suit slow songs. Welcome to the Jungle is my favourite GnR song.

Shannon
Garbage, drivel, crap, sub-par... ****!

Axl Rose seriously screwed the vocals over in that cover, seriously.
Ok, you may not like Axl vocal´s on Knocking on Heaven´s Door, but it´s not worse than Bob Dylan´s vocals, seriously.

The song is just plain boring and "tripe". Axl has a good voice for their Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City, etc songs. He doesn't suit slower songs, as his voice becomes irritating.

Radiohead did a cover of Deftone's "Be quiet and drive", that I very much enjoy... Very different than the original, but performed with a lot of feeling...

Also, Shadows Fall did a cover of Pink FLoyd's "Welcome to the machine" that is more or less true to the original... Very enjoyable...

I almost forgot Type O Negatives cover of Black Sabbath's "Black Sabbath"... Unconventional but powerful nonetheless...

I'm going to tell Bob you said that... Boy is he going to be cross...

You remind me of something that Beavis and Butthead said on Michael(?) Bolton's Music Video (I think it was on the episode "Green Thumbs"), they said:

Beavis: Boy, I think hes trying to play heavy metal or something

Butthead: I bet he could make any kind of music suck

Beavis: He's gonna try gangsta rap next, "Stop and drop on yo ass biatch"

then they laughed

One of my favorite cover songs ever is "Abolish Government / Superficial Love" by Slayer (on Undisputed Attitude), I think the original were actually two songs by some punk band called Tsol.

Another great cover I've heard is "Anarchy in the UK", originally by the Sex Pistols. Ive heard the original but still I prefer Motley Crue's cover, and also Megadeth's.

Pantera did a cover of Black Sabbath's "Planet Caravan". Phil manages the mellow vocals of the original very well and it's an absolute joy to listen to. 👍

Yep... Very good song...

Nope. Any good HATEKORE?

Also, Planet Caravan is one of my least favourite Pantera songs, but the Black Sabbath version was plain horrible to me.

Well, when you listen to all that hardcore garbage you listen to, you tend to not like the softer songs. :p
