Earthtone9:

Winter Solstice:

Ive been in the mood for some real brutal metal lately. Does anyone know a band (that actually sounds good mind you) that is a bit more brutal then nile.

Well, if you want something really brutal, try some Mathmetal band like Ion Dissonance or Into the Moat.

After watching a good amount of videos on youtube, i have now taken a liking to cannibal corpse. A couple different singers from what i understand, lol.

Hasn't Wikipedia taught you anything?? Sevendust is industrial...

I thought we all knew never to trust Wikipedia... unless it's quoted by me.

LdS
Is he being sarcastic? I think that Sevendust is something between Alternative Metal/ NuMetal/Hard Rock.

I am not... Sevendust has always been industrial... if they're including more metal-ish tunes to their music is one thing, but they've always been industrial.

Sorry but no way Sevendust is Industrial. Wikipedia says that they are something like Alternative Metal/Hard Rock. In their myspace, they say that they are Rock/ Hardcore/ Metal, and, from what I heard of it, it sounded like Disturbed and stuff like that (Alternative Metal/ Hard Rock), so there is no way the Present Sevendust, being Industrial.

This thread is for true metal, Sevendust and Disturbed are pretty weak in comparison to other bands.

They still sound good, but are not hard enough imo to be classified as real metal. Lets make everybody happy and just call it soft metal

Disarmonia Mundi- Fragments of D-Generation

Melodic Death from Italy

Apart from the name, this album is badass. They have one of the best harsh vocalists IMO, although I pay relatively little attention to vocals/lyrics.

Anybody like DÅÅTH? Listening to their album, I thought they were Swedish... They have that "Swedish sound"... They're American though. Their guitarist has tons and tons of really cool ideas and licks.

Never listen to one of those you've mentioned. I’ll give them a try. The only band I know from Italy is Sisthema. Pretty cool.👍

And what’s Opeth? It is so different from the rest I’ve been listening until today. I like it. It is very calm, and it seems good to help me fall asleep at night.👍

That album is like a big kick in the nuts, in a good way. 👍

Bjorn "Speed" Strid from Soilwork does the harsh vocals BTW.
