IMO, 'Corpse was good until Chris Barnes left...

Yeah, minus the whole thing of him being all whiny and ****. But as far as vocals/lyrics go he is far more brutal than Corpsegrinder will ever be. Somehow he lost a lot of his touch when he went to Six Feet Under.

Here's my schedule:

July 28- Dream Theater
July 29- Symphony X

I may have an extra ticket for DT, so if you're in the area, PM me. Symphony X tickets are still on sale, if you're interested.

I might also see Finntroll October 4, but that's a while from now. If you don't know who Finntroll is, watch this video.

Here's my schedule:

July 29- Symphony X
Symphony X toured over here last week, there were four concerts in Brazil but the nearest one to me was a 12 hours road trip so I couldn't make it. :(

Aren't DT and SX touring together over there? I know they will be in Europe.

Omg, you guys are to lucky, when DT came around here last year for there Octavarium/ 20th anniversary world tour, it was sold out and those ones that people were selling... Like $300....

I mean, he already knew guitar, but he left school to dedicate himself completely.
Wikipedia
Alexi began his musical training at the age of five by learning the piano and switching to the violin at the age of seven. However, influenced by the music his older sister Anna listened to (heavy metal bands such as W.A.S.P., Poison and Stone), he ended up dropping the classical instrument at the age of 11, in favor of guitars. At the age of sixteen, Alexi quit school in order to be able to dedicate himself fully to Children of Bodom.

Crazy... Specially for me, cause I turn 17 this year, that means he left at my age... God I don't think I could handle thinking that I have possibly screwed up my whole life. But IMO he made it out pretty good if I don't say so my self ;)

But I think my parents would change there name if I ever ended up like him  My parents hate the fact that I like metal as much as I do, me dad likes to make fun of my music.

Well, all the great guitarists left school and many of them had abnormal lives, as well as all the great footballers, snooker players etc. It's like a sacrifice; if you want to grow a talent, you will have to sacrifice other parts of your life like your family, your studies etc. :)

has anyone given "Becoming The Archetype" a listen?

Prog metal to the extreme. Think Opeth, without the slow parts, but instead of them, piano riffs and the voice is much more -core oriented.

I may be going to sounds of the underground. Buuuut, I hate Gwar, so mebbe not. Hatebreed and Shadows Fall would be rad though. OOH, and Testament

Man, I can't believe I forgot Lamb Of God was on it.. I feel dumb. There are like so many bands I haven't heard of on that tour though. A lot of em look like screamo bands or something. :indiff:

Darkest Hour and Amon Amarth are the only two worth seeing. possibly suicidal, but i dont know what they sound like anymore.
