Guys what genre would you consider In Flames? Specifically their Come Clarity album? It's been bugging me and my first guess would be Melodic? :indiff: I don't know much about how to identify bands' genres so don't flame me for thinking it's melodic if i'm completely off.

The Dethalbum by Dethklok is really really good. Anyone else have it?

Me :D:tup:

Like i had said previously in this thread, a lot of the songs are very good, but on the other hand, some of the songs sound like crap. One of my favorite songs from the show was "Murdertrain a comin", but on the cd they absolutely killed it. I have to put the speed up on the song for it to sound anywhere near how the song sounds on the show. Most of the songs are that way though, i usually put the extra effects on with trubass all the way up (depending on how much bass the song has) and the wow effect to about 40.

Out of all of the songs, my favorites (In terms of how they sound, my usual favorites sound like crap on the cd) would have to be murmaider, briefcase full of guts, dethharmonic, and awaken.

Here are some more bands. I donÂ’t know if they are well known here
Converge – No Heroes
Crazy Sound

Moonspell – Finisterra
Classic

And now a funny one:
Moonspell doing a cover to the generic Portuguese Translated music of a children cartoons, very annoying, named: Noddy

From who donÂ’t know what Noddy is: Click here
I think it is better not to post the original music, since it is too painfullÂ…

Today i had someone tell me that korn was better than Metallica when i was wearing my Master of Puppets shirt. First thing i did, punch him in the chest, then a good ol' STFU! got him to be quiet pretty quick. Good, and bad, thing it was one of my friends.

Never insult a Metallica fan

metallica is pretty sweet.

although if you compare the bands' material that was put out in the same time period, korn might actually be better. although, i wouldnt consider listening to them.

*twitch* what... Metallica is better thank Korn *twitch*

I'll admit Korn does have a few good songs, but better than Metallica, imo that will never happen. I guess it also depends on what songs you have actually listened to by Metallica. When i only had about 7 Metallica songs, then i might have even dared say that korn is a little better. Now that i have access to all their songs by just the push of a button, I could never in my entire lifetime say that korn comes anywhere close.

How can someone compare Korn to Metallica?
They have a distinct style.
Metallica is Hard Rock (was trash in the day), and Kork is Nu.Metal. It doesn’t exist a comparison between both….

Hard rock.. give them more credit than that.

i didnt mean to imply korn had ANY good songs. but from 1995 - present metallica has just as many good songs.

lol, 0

lol. I have to disagree on the last part though.

The only cd that i'll agree with you on is St. Anger. That had to be the worst failure in music ever. To go from what they were to that, it just makes me sick.

Load, Reload...

I think that only from the Black Album to the Beginning, is really much worth listening, especially from a person who (for example) want to know Metallica.
The other albums are toooo soft for me. That doesn't mean that no one likes it, but I don't found it very keen.

Both those cd's have a lot of good songs. I do agree they are a bit softer, but i still like them.

I find the black album to be a tad overrated, and i can't stand when people only listen to enter sandman. I can barely listen to that song anymore its so overplayed.

Out of all their cd's, ride the lightning, and justice for all, and master of puppets have to be my favorites. I could never choose a favorite song though, they're all awesome imo, save for st anger.

And everybody needs softer music sometimes. I usually alternate between Cannibal corpse, Dethklok, Nile, and Metallica depending on what mood i'm in

kill em all > ride the lightning > master of puppets

and justice for all and the black album are both okay but not great by any means.

Kirk swears their new album will be very good, back to the old days. I really hope so.

Although St. Anger is their only album I didn't even bother to listen. Load is cool, Reload not so much but it's still "listenable".

I agree with you on that. They are the best IMO.

Metallica + bob rock = bleh 👎

The black album wasn't so horrible, but it did set them down the road of meh.

Being as much a Blues guy as a Metalhead, I must say that I am, quite possibly, THE biggest fan of Load and Reload. The Blues twist they both have simply make for superb listening - IMHO...

I agree with anyone who calls St. Anger a load of dogpoo 👎

Personally, I think ...and Jutice for All is Metallica's best album... and as such, they couldn't get better than that in teir following albums. Hence, they sucked at everything after 1988.
