Ugh, Lamb of God. I can't stand any metal band where the vocalist moans like he has something stuck up his arse...

Well, if you don't like "grouling" you will definitely not like Lamb of God... However, they are one of the most talented metal groups to come about in a long time... The drummer is incredible as well as the rest of the band...

Jimmy recommended a few of their songs to me once and they were quick to reach the Recycle Bin. That "grouling" crap has no place in my ears - however, I do love regular screamy death.

Well, I think Lamb of God are one of the most talented Death Metal bands around at the moment. I love Ashes in the Wake, great album.

I completely agree...

Here is a band that can make Slipknot, Gwar, and any other nu-metal band look like little, crying wussies :trouble:  👍 :p

The Berzerker (that is how it is spelled :p)

This is an extreme metal band from Australia consisting of four or five members. Their music is extremely harsh Industrial Death-grind music. They play inhumanly and unimaginably FAST! The vocalist sings with guttural pukegrowling. They formed in 1995.

After listening to them, I have been blown away by how brutal they play. This is the most extreme band I ever heard in the metal world and I love this metal band out of all the others the most. They barely use any melodies in their songs :trouble:  👍

However, The Berzerker only released two albums. It is such a shame since I wanted them to release more albums. But despite that, The Berzerker holds my claim as Most Extreme Metal Band Of All Time :trouble:  👍 👍 👍 👍 👍

I am going to buy it, it has many artist I like on it, and the others, well, I will listen to them, I like listening to other bands and see if I like them, or make fun of the band. Has anyone gotten the Resident Evil: Apacolypse soundtrack yet?

Yes, I bought the RE apocalypse soundtrack the first day I heard of it. AWESOME album. It is my favorite new album.

Can you maybe list all the bands on the CD... I just want to see if it's worth getting...

Look into Post #305 concerning my post of an extreme metal band that can outclass Gwar, Slipknot, and any other nu-metal band on all fronts :trouble:  👍 👍 👍 👍 👍

What are these recommendations sorry? I must have missed them.

Klonie Gun -- The Berzerker were one of my favorutie bands for a while. They regularly play down here in Australia, so I have been lucky enough to have seen them live. They have a great energy on stage, except on their DVD "The Principles and Practices of The Berzerker", the live shows seem like he's just standing there not getting nito it, so I was a little disappointed with the DVD. And the fact that it's boring. Berzerker are having a rest at the moment, and won't release anything for a while.

For Slipknot, I would not really consider them REAL metal myself. They are more into this Korn-style hip-hop grind, Marilyn Manson-esque shock rock, and rap metal; which I refer as nu-metal. And speaking of which, Slipknot, I believe, is the heaviest nu-metal band I heard. But I still consider Slipknot as a pathetic attempt to fuse grindcore with nu-metal itself also adding the use of melody in their music besides the wanna-be death metal growling 👎 :yuck:

The Berzerker, though, can thrash the living s**t out of Slipknot and any other nu-metal band as if they were nothing but pieces of cake :trouble:  👍

Slipknot is cool, Korn is cool, Marilyn Manson is cool, Berzeker is cool too. But I disagree with Klonie on the last part. It just depends who you like. I prefer Slipknot to Berzeker. Probably because I know Slipknot better, and like more songs from them than Berzeker.

six months ago I would have agreed with you, I thought they were a jumped-up nu-metal band too. Then I saw them at the Download festival in the UK, and those guys aren't messing around -- there is some heavy **** going on there for real. Plus it was a baking hot day, and they had the suits and the masks on and gave it 120% all the way. I came away a fan, I have (and hate) to admit \m/  \m/

Slipknot have potential. I don't like them now, but I could if they made some improvements, but I'm not going to say what improvements because I seem to talk about this every couple of days.

Also, I hate this term "shock rock". What exactly does it refer to?

I do not know much about shock rock but Marilyn Manson was one of the first to fuse it in his music. I think shock rock refers to broken, out-of-place rock music fused with industrial samples and electronics. It also refers to trying to gain massive attention to the audience with any kind of ludicrous antics such as but not limited to noticeably gothic-like make-up, strange dancing techniques, and/or grotesque costumes.

As for Slipknot, I have heard of them. I do not think that Slipknot can compare to brutal death metal or grindcore bands in contests. Slipknot may be the ultimate nu-metal band but that really does not go well when they play their wanna-be death metal/grindcore beats, turntable scratching, rapped verses, wanna-be guttural growling, melodic singing, and their conspicuously simplistic lyrics. They try to be death metal or grindcore but they fail miserably. Sorry, if any Slipknot fans have to hear this I do not like Slipknot personally. I just do not 👎 :yuck:

That's pretty much what I was thinking.

Agreed, it's just not good music at all.
Agreed.

This Resident Evil Soundtrack looks awful to me. The only band on there that is anything decent (to me) is DevilDriver.

(Sorry about the underlines and bolds, it seems people take offense alot very easily on here, so I'm treading carefully).
