I'd definitely go with a Saleen. The SR-R Race if you can get it is probably the best car in the game for non-gold members. The Viper is 700 pounds heavier and not nearly as powerful. But it is 90,000 bucks cheaper.
Yeah, well I got a lucky break when the number 2 and number 4 guys in the whole game ran out of gas and I got to race them both twice. That raised my experience to over 35,000 and allowed me to upgrade to skill level 11. If it wasn't for that I'd probably only be at about 100,000 dollars.
