Here are my first attempts, Got a pretty decent time at the hard level.. But there is waaaay much work to do, some guys are doing sub -60:s on that one. Crazy.

Famine, your records are very good. Think I got 160 or so as my best on the hard level a cpl of years ago..

My screen currently says 165 wins, 0 losses, 100%, 165 wins in a row...

I'll have a crack at Minesweeper up at dad's this week. My records on his computer aren't bad, I recall.

I've no patience to read and understand this game's rules. I tried, and just said forget it.

2 seconds on beginner! Impossible to beat. Either your mousecontrol i supermanish or you got an extremely good placing of the mines. 👍

How do you post your scores? I tried right clicking and the only choice is "what's this?"

Bring the scores up in the window. Hold "Alt" and press "Print Screen" (it's to the right of the F keys on the top row).

Open imaging programme (even Paint works). Paste. Crop. Save. Attach.

How can you guys actually finish a game of minesweeper. Within' the first three clicks my game is over. I click on a mine to end the game every time.

Do you understand the "rules"?

Every number indicates how many mines are adjoining that square directly. 8 is, obviously, the maximum, but I've never seen one (you'd have to get a lucky click right in the middle of a bunch of mines. You work out where the mines are by a process of elimination.

Yup, quite easy once you get how to attack them. I might give this a go again, haven't touched the game since christmas..

My record was 29 seconds on Intermediate and my best ever on Expert was 119 seconds. But that was years ago on my old Win95 PC. Here's a screenie from my current PC:

My best on Beginner is actually 7 seconds, ON MY DAD'S LAPTOP!!! With the crappy-little-black-pad-thingy-excuse-for-a-mouse!

By the way, I have also beat an 8X8 with 25 freaking mines and loads of lucky clicks!

Yep, kieran, 119 secs is awesome. I d/l:ed su27killers vid of it but it needed some strange codec which I didn't feel like installing so unfortunately haven't seen that one. Anyone else saw it?

Yes, I have heard of stuff like that too. Very cool. Most times posted here are very impressive anyhow.

If enough people play it enough times, eventually someone will come across a combination that takes much less clicks to beat, where the mines are all bunched up together. I bet that happened in those times.
