The most badass classic muscle car to tune?

I'm wanting to supe up a classic American muscle car with the most HP. any recommendations?

If you want max/power performance, the Cobra wins hands down. Unless you consider the Challenger and Camaro RM's.

how does the Superbird do fully tuned? comparable at all to the Challenger?

I don't have a SuperBird. But it's heavy, probably not as agile as the Challenger. In theory it should do better at high speeds (though it would still need a race transmission to get to its full potential) because of the aerodynamics.

Not counting the Buick '62, since it's already tuned...

I think the Chevelle will get upwards of 760 hp, if I recall correctly. Pretty sure it has the highest ceiling.
I like the Shelby GT350, personally...but a max-tune of it will render it undriveable for me. Too light to handle that many horses.
The Cuda is basically a new Challenger...so you know what you're getting there.
I've heard good things about the GTO.

I think I'll do the trans cammer + challenger + Superbird cuz I love all of them

I like the GT350, but it does get to be quite unstable and can be a handful once it's fully tuned.

The Challenger, fully tuned and with the Race Mod done, is really quite nice.

I haven't done the Chevelle or the Superbird. Might have to dust them off and give 'em a go.

I painted one of my Superbirds Richard Petty blue...well, close enough. Seemed perfect. You need an orange '70 Charger too.

The Charger 440 is pretty good from the used car lot. Gets almost 800hp on a full tune, handles like crap though. Its just too heavy. Also needs a full customize tranny to be any use, in any situation. Runs out of gears at 200km/h (120mph).
