I have the
Acoustimass 15 system, for which I paid £1,000. I have to say that they're absolutely fantastic. My room is 11'x11', and the small speakers, together with the (hidden) sub give awesome quality sound. Remember, that in a room that size, you can't put full-size speakers all over the place without them filling the room, and you'll never overcome being able to hear the location of the speakers. With the AM15s, you can slightly rotate the top and bottom speakers, so that you can literally fill the room with sound.
So what we've ended up with is a room with a kick-ass home cinema (32" WEGA, Sony DVD, Sony Amp, Sony Video, 70 cable channels), but it all looks quite discrete. No wires trailing, no huge speakers on unsightly stands (have you seen the sculpture that is a
Bose Cube Speaker Stand!).
Basically, I can totally, without reservation, recommend these speakers to anyone.
And the money? Well, you might think that £1,000 is a lot to spend on speakers, but is it really? You get 5 speakers plus a powered sub, so they're £167 each, or £330 for the front pair, £200 for the rear pair, £170 for the centre and £300 for the sub. In my book, that's only a mid-range cinema speaker setup.
