Nürburgring Nordschleife - Love or Hate?

Silly me, I though everyone absolutely LOVED that track. Now I'm finding out there's a bigger faction that HATE it than I would've ever believed. Curious, what do you love it or hate it?

I'll tell you my story. When I did the very first AMG challenge my SL300 kept sliding off the track at the end of Schwedenkreuz. The left hander there "looks" very shallow. Should be able to take it at very high speed. I was AMAZED at how deceptive it is. If you stand at the bottom of that hill and look up at the start of the turn you'll see just how steep that turn really is. I was hooked by the technical difficulty of that section.

The track is awesome, I've done more hotlaps around there than anywhere else :dopey:

The game still needs more tracks though, there's too few of them right now :grumpy:

I love the Track but I think it´s overused online.
Example:
Shuffelrace. All the time you see that someone votes for it. I think it´s too long for a shuffel race but it´s still fun though.

I love the track. Ever since GT4 it's been my favourite place for taking any car. I've even driven it in a VW Beetle.

PD really knows how to design tracks!
I hope you mean by design, they perfectly replicated the Nurburgring.

I love the Ring, I can just play for hours doing hot laps.

Absolutely love it myself, I'd be happy with just a Nurburgring based game. The change time/weather aspect is at its best use on here, it provides a totally new challenge each time I go on. I spent days on it on GT4 and felt I had every part mastered (I could draw the layout from memory), but even now I get a sense of accomplishment each time I absolutely nail a lap. The flow of some sections just works so well, I enjoy every hot lap whether its in a Fiat 500 or an LFA. I thought the AMG special events were great fun.
The only track that ever came close to the 'ring for me was complex string on GT3, introduce that to GT5 and I'll be glued to 2 tracks.

I love the Nurburgring and I'd love to go there for real. I don't think I could race on it exclusively though.

In my opinion, it's the best track ever in a video game. I love it, cant get any better. So many corners, working the wheel like a mad man to get around them faster and faster each lap (In a fast car of course). But even in a slower car, it is still a great track to drive.

Also, at night time, low beam lights, this track is fantastic, especially the 24 layout, because while you are on the track, in some places you can see the start and finish line, all lit up in the blackness.

Oh, and of course, the sunset/sunrise. I haven't experienced it properly yet, while I have played it, but I have seen pictures of it, and it looks fantastic (You can get that on other tracks as well, but I thought I would add that).

I don't, it looks like it was designed by a toddler.

I take it you can't drive it properly then?

Anyways, the best way to know if you know the track off by heart is to do a go-kart race at night without driving line and your track map scale to 2 or 3. There was no point of the race where I didn't know where I was and won by over 3 minutes in one lap.

You cant handle the truth I take it?

Hated it in GT 4, but love it now though.

Especially now I run it with no aids (ABS 1) in cockpit and wwith no track map or driving line. You REALLY get to know it then and you start to drive like in real life by looking at the apexes.

But without Le Sarthe and Monza I would get bored pretty quickly.

Love. Except that License in GT4 where you are in a 190 E 2.5 behind a rediculously annoying pace car. I grew to hate 'Oh Yeah'
