I took the original, put it into gimp... used the erode filter, then the 'toon filter.

I had a go, but they didn't seem to turn out very well. Here's the best two anyway though:

im making a flash movie (in a sort of cartoonish style) about street drifting based on actual events and currently i am handdrawing it which is a pain in the ass

So i was planning to use gt4 images to create 3d models or redraw the images since the game lets u transfer files with a usb flash drive (i would just use automodellista but i dunt have a video capture device and this is a personal project so there is no budget at all)

I am just wondering what do you guys use, so far ive seen some artisitc and brush stroke filters were used but i was just wondering if you guys would wanna share anything in-depth

BTW here is an example of wat im working on and i dont liek it that much since it takes too much time and doesnt coem out well

I tried to make a picture like the ones in this thread, but I wasn't satisfied with the result. So I decided to try and redraw the lines of a car with my mouse. Then I fidled with motion blur a bit and this came out:

I think it came out quite nice, it's not really beautiful, but it's different!

You need photoshop and a plugin called Lineart (from Here It's in set 3)

1. Open your picture into photoshop and duplicate the layer.

2. Use the Lineart filter on the duplicate layer with the following settings:

3. Change the blending mode of that layer to Colour Dodge:

Easy as that!!

Wow thanks, i haev tried a lot but this seems simpler than anythign else, so far gimp has been fairly useful but with my piss poor computer it take a while for me to adjust settings so i might as well just redraw the images as i already am. I always thought photoshop could redraw the lines somehow in the way i want it to but i never could find the right combination so im gonna try that out right now
