Uh I thought you already had over 500 posts to have "just add water!" But yeah over 500 posts is when you can change your custom user title.

Heh, weird when Jordan switched to GTP6 you could change it and I did but then the feature disappeared, so I was stuck with the stupid:just add water! caption. Now I have over 500 posts so I can finally changed it to something that suits my avatar!👍

Well I won the Evo8 GSR from Arcade and I never had problems with that, it seems to always slightly oversteer. 👍

But anyway... I finally got to the bottom of my understeer problem. I was using the cheapest tires (The BFG drag slicks), which lower the 0-60 by 0.2 seconds, and up the braking by 10+ kN (whatever that is). I finally figured drag slicks were good for quick starts but just slid while turning. And sure enough, I got the top of the line BFGs and my understeer went away. I then gathered a theory that the lower the 0-60/braking, the better the turning ability. So I then tried the Yoko's with the lowest brake rating and those seemed a bit worse. I have concluded that the most expensive tires ARE in fact the best. so ALWAYS go with the BFG g-force!

p.s. like Blackbird said, NEVER waste money on a nUr. I reset the game and got a normal GT-R this time, saved myself 25 grand and still have the same 1007 dynoed HP.

I always used the yokohoma's but before you posted that I had been using the BFGoodrich ones. But i'm happy to here your understeer problem went away.👍
 
Just got my Evo VIII. 800+hp, ****ing sticks in corners. It's awsome. The only thing I don't like it the rev limiter. Once it hits the redline it stays there. It'd be nice to go over that a little bit.
 
I think it was Darin that said this game had the same control feel as GT3, my ****ing ass it does!? :lol: whatever...

The only thing i see about SRS is that they TRIED to anlyze(sp?) everything that was wrong about NFS:U and shoved it in this game. Now there's some new irritating crap, like a mutation of F&F. When say you want to get a body kit you can't even see the damn car not to mention the ass is facing you. The same damn girl starts off the race and there's no map to tell you how to get back to the damn garage.

Just like NFS:U, someone, get me the cheat codes so I can get all the upgrade crap, take pictures, and then throw the game in the trash.

I'm so not impressed with this game... and I don't get what all the hype was about. I'm so glad I rented this, now on to Burnout 3! :trouble: which should be so much better!

edit: oh yeah, I almost forgot... :odd: what the hell is this "GirlFriend" crap, whoo hoo... let me be your dog that does tricks to "get in your pants" whatever... I think I'll go watch Charmed or She Spies now.

I think this game illustrates very well why NOS should never be given to N E one... :dopey:

Speaking of NOS... I think the ORIGINAL GT had better sounds than this game. :rolleyes:
 
Yea the body kits and wings are there to create downforce, thus better grip, hus a lower top speed. So you choce, sacrifice 12 mph for better traction?
 
Well sounds pretty good and realistic, add a spoiler = less top speed + better traction:tup:
 
I have to say i'm happy hear to this too, It'll make 'ricers' realise that big spoiler doesn't = FAST, although as lamboracer says it does give more traction, which in turn could result in faster quicker laps.

Yeah instead they will just learn to shoot NOS a billion times during the start only to find themselves in the wall because they don't know what the hell they are doing... :dopey:
 
Well i picked this game up Sunday. Right now i own a 1997 Eclipse Turbo, 612hp. This car is nice. What car should i look forward on getting next. I have 48,000
 
You probably want to pick up an Evo once its unlocked. But I bought the Nissan 350Z which I advise you not to buy its way to bulky. I'd recommend the Supra.👍

Plus the 350Z over powers itself when it's fully tuned.
 
Exactly, thats what kept me from buying it, its top speed is way weak.👎

quick question. this MIGHT have been answered but its a big thread and a lot to read through.

im around 55% or so with 225k. currently driving an evo 8. now is it worth it to get a skyline now? or wait till i get more money. oh, and which gtr? i got all cept the last one.
 
Get the base GTR because there is no difference between all of them. Yes, get the skyline now. It's the best car for your money. But be sure to have money to back up those repair bills.
 
Heh, with that money I'd also get a backup car, so you don't always have to use that skyline all the time.....Oh wait I guess I forgot, that your driving an evo, keep the evo as a secondary car....Stupid me:dunce:👍
 
Is there a PAL version?I went down to the local EB today and asked when they were getting it and they said that they had never herd of it before!I was sort of pissed off!
 
Ew, how lame! I tried to copy the disc before taking it back to Blockbuster and there's some sort of protection on the disc that wouldn't let me. So I took it back and then I came home and downloaded the game instead. The game works fine but because the disc is burned it won't allow me to go online! I'm pissed, that's the only thing I wanted to keep playing the game for was the online part of it. Oh well, GTA will be out in a month and then GT4 a month after that. I guess regular SRS gameplay and GT3 will have to hold me over.
