Like I said I don't want to ruin Darin's thread.

Hey when are you guys going to buy a new car? Can you afford it? How much money do you get per race? How much does the car cost? Is there weather in this game?

I started out with the Impreza. Sold it. Bought a 350Z Performance. Sold it. Bought a Supra. Sold it. And now I'm stuck with a Spirit B RX7.

Hey darin can you adjust the gear ratios. Liker i was saying, i was playing it yesterday with my cousin and he had a 49 hp or something, volkswagon jetta 1.8 and it was quick to its top speed but it toped at like 133. So i was wondering if there was a gear ratio tunning option considering the dyno and all that stuff. Or maybe you could go tolike a stock transmission thats not as close ranged ratios?

There's not much you can do there. There are some specific parts that will slightly up the top speed in a car, but say you have a supra. It's top speed is 178mph. You maybe can only get it up to 180mph. You can ask Darin what parts you need to make it increase the top speed of your car.

Darin, i used your suggestions and wow did it make a difference. I also moved up to 19 wheels. I remember reading something about the size makes them handle better. So, yea, im not in the red anymore. Good stuff.

I tried that Nitrous tip to get it refilled for free, but it doesnt work. Is there something im doin wrong?

Last thing. How/when can you get a different car? Preferably the locked ones?

Have any of you played GT3 recently? This game handles nothing like it. I play GT3 at least twice a week. So stop the handling comparisons please.

As far as the Honda question, it's quite simple. Electronic Arts, yet again, holds the North American license for Honda/Acura cars, like it does with Porsche and Ferrari. Honda once stated they didn't want to be associated with street racing games, but when EA sent the check, they were free to do what they wanted.

So, it's easy, if you want to see these cars in other games, boycott EA racing games.

yeah, the physics are no where near GT3, whoever brought that up is way off, .
Can any of you read?
Darin
The handling is somewhat like GT3, not really, but pretty close to my standards.

eh... yeah I can't read...

PR, if thats it, then how is GT4 going to get Honda? Paying EA for using it?

No, EA has the North American license only, meaning cars sold for the American market (hence the Acuras instead of proper Hondas in NFS U). PD has used Honda's worldwide license since 1996, when GT first came out.

Thats exactly right. 👍

But, thats makes me think, Tokyo Xtreme Racer series, 3 didn't have honda, would that be the reason?

OK, i got like 60 grand saved up and bought a 350Z and did every mod to it. Why is that it sucks so bad? Every race i lose more money than i make on repair costs. It handles like crap and likes to do donuts. I worked w/ the suspension and tires and got a decent srt-up but it still make no difference in the end. What was the 2nd car that i should have gotten?

Oh yea, last thing. Those vids of the chicks are just funny. I sure bet they felt goofy dancin around like idiots. Well, im sure until they got paid..........

Na, I got the 350Z maxed out with mods and it handles great. It does have that ''I want to spin out'' feeling, but all ya got to do is feather the throttle. Now I'm broke though cause my friend was playing it like it was underground and I have an 8 grand repair bill. :ouch:

So is that how PD got to use both Honda and Acura? I though Acura is made generally for North America. If that's the case how did GT3 get to use Acura? Wouldn't that be North America license?

It could be, but then how did TXR0 have honda?
TXR0 was unlicensed. That why all the cars where by TYPE-?????.

I saw the 350Z, and I said hell to it..

Oh ya, I totally got that messed, Darin. I was mixing TXR0 and TXR0 :dunce:

Well first of all, TXR0 have no license manufactors. That mean they cannot give out the full name therefore they just made up some numbers.

Yes, it would, but NFS: Underground wasn't out in 2001, when GT3 came out. Same deal with TXR0 (and even there, none of the cars were properly identified or wore proper badging, proving there was no real licensing) Most likely the PGR2 folks asked EA to share the license.

There are loopholes in these things, obviously, and you can still expect Acuras in GT4...

Alright well I sold the overpowered Spirit B RX-7 and got back my EVO8. Hopefully it will help me to get a GTR.

But because they didn't have the licenses. They were the real deal, but called by real names. LIke thier Japanese numbers.

meh. I restarted. Instead of going to street mode or whatever after creating my name I went right to arcade and did the ironman thing. Afterwards I started street mode with my modded Trueno (which I immediately de-riced). I took off all stickers and vinyls and just made it white with black stock wheels. I'm destroying everything with it! I took all 3 series of the nemesis crew, and the first sanction, and the chick challenge... It's cheap to repair too, like 3 grand for the worst repairs. I've been pretty frivolous with my money, I've paid like 3 tickets for about 2 grand each and around 2 grand for repairs 4 or 5 times now. I still have like 40 grand though so I don't know why you guys are complaining about money. All you gotta do is be good. take the highest wager on each race and win and you get crazy money. I'm waiting to unlock a Sup or a Rex or something... I'll have tons of cash by then.

btw, I'll tell you all how online is... I'm about to connect!
