Hey guys I got a weird thingy with my game Its no glitch but I found it quite interesting. I was just cruising around in my RX-7 on C1 outer and I was challenged by a wanderer by the name of ''Death Driver'' he drives a black S15 with red graphics on the side, well once I beat him I decided to try his car out and buy it, but once I attained it I went to drive around the C1 outer loop again and all the yellow vans have turned all white with no graphics but on the back and side windows were images of ghosts, Its pretty freaky lookin and cool at the same time but do you guys know why it does this, I've only tried one track and it does it all the time but it only happens with ''death driver's'' car.:confused:
 
I've never heard of this.. did you happen to notice if it was Raining, what day of the week, what time, or a detailed location when he challenged you?
 
The Death Driver - will only appear in the kasumigasenki tunnel after
2:00am. When you are choosing a starting point hit up on your controller once
and then select the CI Outer route, he should challenge you right after the
auto pilots shuts off.


i havnt drivin his car yet, i will tonight and post pics if this happens ;)
 
i just baught the game my luck every time i have the money it's sold out and when i dont have the money everystore has it, i have a few questions
1. i picked a ae86 trueno was that a smart choice i personaly this it is the only cars im having trouble beating is the 3rd generation rx-7 and the scion
2. last but not least is there any cheats that you dont have to have game shark for i would search this forum buh look its 118 pages long lol

Sorry guys I didn't have a digi cam to show you guys but thanks Drift God for proving this I just wanted to know why it does this but it seems like I was the first one do discover this. Meh, doesn't matter it is pretty cool, oh and its nice to see you finally get the game S13drifting, see ya on monday.
 
I finally unlocked the engine swap option... so many engines too choose, im thinkin the NA IL6, or the turbo, for my RX-7... Lots of testing too be done tonight thats for sure...
 
Hey there. I'm new to this forum, just found it today. And believe it or not i just discovered TXR3 last night!!! I found it while in a Movie Gallery renting some movies. Of course i rented it and i think it's pretty sweet so far. I played through the First half of TXR0, But after you beat the '13' car, you cant uprgrade any of the stock cars enough to beat anybody. so i quit. even though i never suped up the racers cars you can buy. they were too much money! I would love to read all 118 pages of posts but that is just a little ridiculuous, i've made it to about page 18 so far. I can't believe this is still an active thread after so many months!

oh the reason i had no idea that TXR3 even existed is because i was overseas from Feb 16th 2003 until Jan 30th 2004. As you can imagine i couldn't keep up to well with video game land. But i hope to maybe make some aquaintences on here and get some advice when needed. Hopefully i'll find a copy to actually buy this week!!!

Thanks for the adivce, my signature was a little long but i just read the AUP and didn't see anything reffering to signature length limits? Yeah, i'm definately going to try and find a buyable copy today! What are these race teams you were refferring to?
 
oh, i'm starting out with the old school Trueno, i've only got access to level one performance mods so far? please tell me that's not all this car is limited to?? I've only finished off two gangs so far, and raced about 40 opponents. I keep racing but haven't unlocked hardly anything... i think i unlocked three new cars, and no parts yet. But i'm only like 4% through the game i think. please tell my it starts getting better?
 
No, no. You can have any mods for any car you put out (aside from custom cars, and alot of cars have limited aero selections). If you browse the PlayStation2 forum, you should see threads such as "TXR Race: Week 3" and things of that nature. There's team for these races, just as something fun. Daikoku Nights Team Thread. Hope this helps a little.

thanks for the welcome and offered support. I managed to get through round1 of tokyo last night, with only having wanderers and the dang Cupid Arrows unfinished. took me about 6 tries against Dejected Angel in my Trueno with only stage 3 egine. She was fast. I went to Osaka next and so far is extremely easy. But i know I'm going to need some serious topend once the big boys start coming out in that course. Is it just me, or did everyone get to race all four wanderers in round1 of Osaka in near succession? I"m really thinking of going with the Pantera. It's expensive as all get out, BUT it's different! and it's a V8!! it sounds awesome to. and there will only be two in the whole game if i use it. (i'm guessing on that) But i won't use it until my Trueno just wont cut it, or if i can stand to race the 1242miles in the trueno to get the engine swap, then i'll start racing the Pantera some. I would go with the supra, because it is my Fav, but i KNOW i can have a kickass supra, but that isn't nearly as original.

what do you guys think?
 
I've said this to everyone that has asked. Wait out, maybe get the Pantera, but don't buy the Supra! Without the swap, at your level, its just too heavy to get going. Get an FD (New RX-7). Race that around a bit, get an engine swap, and you'll own everything that comes your way. Look at all the FD's in the TXR3 racing series here. My NA Inline6 FD can beat aot of Turbos. :) Good car.
 
thanks for advice. I probably won't buy another car until the Trueno can't win anymore. I don't doubt what you say about the FD (RX7), even though i am a Toyota man when it comes to Japanese cars, i do like the Rx7's. but as you say, i've noticed a lot of people racing the RX7, the Pantera seems pretty tempting. It's got GOBS of V8 power with under 1000 kilos!!! and how many of those do hear about people using? but i'll wait it out like i said and see what else i unlock. (like a RX7)
 
I have 2 FD's and 1 FC.

In real life, I have the Bose wave system, Enkei spare wheel, and mud flaps left from my old FD. I do not rule. :cheers:

I bought the supra as soon as I could, and I have had absolutly no probs what so ever beating anybody. im only at 43% but still. why is everyone haten on the supra???
 
why is everyone haten' on the supra? i noticed in the GT3 forum that there were many supra haters in there too, more than Supra fans? I went with the pantera instead, but i fooled around with the supra and had no problems with it. i just wanted the Pantera, for better or worse.... so far so good, we'll see if i grow to regret it....

Infact, I'm prolly the only one here that actually thinks the Supra is quicker than all the skylines in TXR3, its just the body kits in TXR3 are just horrible and they put 2 or the same TRD kit just ones lower than the other...

you know what... they are. the supra at, i think, around 487sp is faster than a gt-r with 500sp!! ive tried it. i had to sell it. the only thing its good for really is its 4wd capability, and super acceleration from a start...but you never start out from a stop in TRX3 anyways.

The skylines still out accelerate the supra just because of the 4WD. But I think the supra turns better.

ummm..... yeah maybe if the R-34's where the same weight, but I have a better 0-400 time in my supra than i did with an R-34 v-II with more hp. Skylines are just so freakin heavy. ive got almost everything in D-carbon on the R-34, and its still like 50+ kg heavier than a supra without any D-carbon or C-FBR parts!
I think the supra does turn better, becase it is probably loser at speed which alows me to drift alot better.
