Its almost ironic that you talk about focus.. hahaha~
This picture is full of speed, like the camera can't catch up to the car!
I would try to stay away from cutting the car off and have some sort of focus somewhere.. 6/10

The irony of it huh .
I was trying to recreate an old Road and Track magazine cover with that photo, and I think I did it well, The whole point of the picture was speed It is the Wangan of course.

Your picture 7/10, feels a bit vanilla.

^^^definitely a midnight club feel to it. 8/10

I think this is this is the first mini posted in this thread. I love taking this baby to the ring!

Awesome pic. 9/10
I love just about everything about it. The effect worked wonders on it (Is that effect the cool effect?) and (I never thought I would say this) the tilt/angle is great.

Here are a couple of my favorites. Let me know what you think of them in general.

I'm sorry, but that photo just does nothing for me. I don't know what you were aiming for, but it's not quite black and white, as there is a hint of colour coming from the cabin. I also don't like the positioning of the car, although it has the potential to be a good action shot with the right filters and settings. 4/10

 I cannot believe this, worst review I've seen yet. I'm sorry, but I couldn't let this pass for such an amazing photo.

You sir, deserve a 9.5/10 for this. I don't really see any flaws, I just don't like giving a perfect score :P

First pic: 8/10. The GT by Citroen Race Car looks very stunning and the blur is used very well, but the scenery gets hugely covered up by the car, so get the scenery into it a bit more!

Second pic: 8/10 The filter used gives off a superb effect, but it effects the look of both the cars a bit - they both look to dark. Scenery is still lacking a bit but it still looks decent enough.

For this picture, I'm looking for your rating overall...

verry nice picture.
car is positioned good, but the photo is a little bit boring.
maybe some light effects would have helpt.
overall a verry good photo 9/10

here are mine's:

^ Well, it's a nice car and a nice location. Maybe you could try and get more of the scenery into the shot? Another thing that sometimes improves the picture when you're shooting a parked car is to have the wheels turned.

I like that the colours are soft, but maybe you could apply a filter or something to give the picture more harmony, because now the soft scenery sort of collides with the black and orange of the BMW.

The first photo is a 7/10, the second photo gets a 5/10, mainly because I think it's an awkward perspective on that one.

Here is one of my latest shots! It's from one of the tracks I made, due to banking of the previous curve, this curve banks in the wrong direction, resulting in a significant lift-off in the apex. I took this picture because I think it looks like racing cars in cartoons, flying low above the ground. I'll be happy for some feedback :)

@eran0004
I give you a 6/10. At first, I like the contrast in your picture. It looks natural in my opinion, even in b/w. But on the other hand those jumps always look wrong, especially in use with those GT cars. In addition I miss the dynamic in the picture. The only dynamic is created by the jump itself but it stops to submit it by missing filters. So it seems, that the car stands in the air.

I like the composition of the shot above, and especially love the sweeping landscape in the background. However, I feel the shot looks a bit washed out, and could really come alive with a few tweaks to brightness and a color filter. Also, not your fault, but those two horribly textured trees kill the realism factor of the shot for me. 6 / 10.

Here's mine:

Are you kidding me 6/10, it's a beautiful shot
Lacking some brightness and colour, but still big Ron is worthy of a 8/10 at least!

Here's mine:

Excellent positioning, but I think the lack of colour brings it down to a 7/10 for me, it's still a great picture though.

I have only really started to take pictures in GT5, so any constructive criticism would be wonderful, some of the pictures in here a jaw dropping!

Heres mine!

Hehe, thank you ;)
I always choose colors and brightness of the photo to the age of the car. So if the car is a classic one, the style of the photo should be the same. So I tried to let it look a bit washed out and classic.

I think you might want to stop down the aperture a bit on that one. (That is, increase the f number a notch or two.)

I think 6/10. The rims on this pic are beautifull. That color shines off the car, but the car is not sharp on the photo.

My shot of tonight:
*snip*
Nice shot, to bad you didn't turn the wheels, also a little les exposure made it perhaps a slightly better picture. Give it a 7/10

Nice pic, but the common problem with the pixaleting with the smoke but overall a nice picture. 8/10

Heres mine, I tried experimenting with the effects and the exposure

Looks pretty nice, I just think it's too much exposure ;) Looks a bit washed, if you know what I mean. Still a great rolling shot. 7/10.

I was going to try and enter it in the photomode competition but I can't resize it so I don't get yelled at by everybody :scared: so screw it.

I think it is to dark, still can't judge to much couse of the small size... Still a tip: if you added a landscape in the background, and a little lower angle it was, I think, Much better! still good job 6.5/10

In my opinions, too much of the people here judge after their personal taste (subjective).

But as this thread and every post is judged by different people (and every person has it´s own taste), you should learn to judge objective.

I like it. 6/10. My only beef is I am not sure what I am supposed to be focusing on. The Ford emblem on the hood or the burst of light in the clouds. Either way, pretty amazing shot.

Here is one of my first shots. At this stage I as trying to mess with the composition of the shot more than anything else. I know I made some rookie mistakes (but then again I am a rookie, this IS like my third picture in GT5 ever).

My first pictures looked pretty similar! I didn´t know how to place the car/camera and wasn´t trying to do something special/different.
Its just........hell yeah, that looks nice! Thats how my impressions where of the first Phototrips, haha!

I´m sure that you will shot some great pics in the future. You just have to get used to it and try everything out.
For your 3rd pic, this is nice. The focus is good and you made it look real.
Keep it up and show some new stuff mate.
And that chrome on that car!? Well, you got love it or hate it right? :)

I´ll give you a 7/10 for your "rookie" shot! :)

 Right, and I can't believe you'd rate it a 9.5. It has the potential to be an amazing photo, but it isn't. Action shots can be bloody difficult to get right, and that would be a good one. However, as I said, personally it doesn't appeal to me, I just can't put my finger on it. Last I checked, we aren't rating on potential.

Sorry to Gaiajohan, but I'm being honest.

^Man the first 2 shots are great nice color, decent blur and you can sense motion and speed being conveyed. Great overall composition as well 8.5/10

The third ones ok. The lightings a bit too dark for me. give it more exposure. but overall its decent. 8/10

The last one's good too nice sense of speed, decent amount of tilt. you could have focused more on the rear details of the car though I'd give it 8.5/10 :)

All 10/10s.
I really don't know why are people so strict with the criticism, I really feel that these are really worthy of 10/10.

Wow, that top picture. Not going to lie, I didn't even look at the bottom two.
The top one is a 10/10. It looks like it is from a brochure that you get at the dealership.

Here is my second attempt using the same model as before (my Challenger). This time I actually played with the camera settings and have come to realize that a chrome car is really hard to photograph well.

8.5/10, like you said it isn't easy to capture a chrome car but this photo had been done really well. The only thing is that by the number its a bit bright, and the right side of the grill is a bit dark, but all in all a great photo, keep it up!
